Hi guys,

new to Moin.

Firstly, glad to be a part of the community and looking forward to the future development.

So I just installed wallet and started staking. After I received my first staked coins, the wallet says that my weight is 0 and that the expected time to earn my reward is 753 days. Is that normal?

Also, do I need to leave my wallet opened 24/7 to stake or just login occasionally?

Thx

Yes that is normal as you had all your coins stake in one block so now that block will need to mature again and gain weight. I leave my wallet open 24/7 so I can stake regularly but if you can't then at least try and have the wallet open for at least 8 to 12 hours per day, that way you should earn a couple of stakes depending on how many MOIN you are currently staking.

I can promote your project on X to my 100k+ followers for a reasonable price. Just DM me for prices.

You need to keep your wallet opened 24/7
How much moin you have in wallet? It depend of your balance is your weight and how much stake you will receive

no, that's not true. you can also gain stakes on just let the wallet run for a few hours per day.
although 24/7 is better, it isn't necessary.

I had Moin in my wallet, and while he was offline i did not get anything from staking
Now my wallet is open 24/7 and i receive 1-4 times per day and everytime got same amount. as far as I understood you get staking rewards only from opened wallet time. more time online = more Moin from staking. correct me if I'm wrong

I have around around 10k MOIN.

So I just checked my wallet again. Now it says I'm staking with 10k weight and one hour remaining.

But so far I have received  my reward only once which was around 1,5 MOIN.

So I guess its best to keep it open 24/7.

Thx guys

With 10k MOIN you should earn a few stakes daily if you leave the wallet unlocked and open 24/7. I know when I had 10k MOIN I was getting at least 5+ stakes daily and the reward does increase over time but everyone is on this 1.5 MOIN reward as that is what I get too and I have a lot more MOIN staking. The thing that changes is the amount of stakes you earn when you have more MOIN but the reward remains the same for everyone.

Yeah, today I received 6 stakes of 1.5 MOIN Smiley

Reward seem great but I'm a little worried it is to high in the long term. Didn't found info that reward will be decreased in the future.

Nevertheless, I like the wallet and can see this coin be accepted by more people, especially new crypto crowd, as it is simple. More exchanges in the future are surely gonna fasten things up, maybe the dev could consider Shapeshift or Changelly as well.

Still wondering what will the platform represent. As I read dev didn't not disclose it yet.

And still wondering about the possible PART fork.

But all in all I'm sure that MOIN has a bright future Smiley

That's great to hear you are now staking a good amount of MOIN. Nothing to be worried about my friend as the APR is only 10% per year, yes it is somewhat more with the compounding effect however there will only be a supply cap of 21 million MOIN then after all the coins have been mined, I believe the stakes will be fees like other POS coins. There is still a long time before we reach the cap of 21M coins and I can't see it effecting the price too much but actually making the price increase as time goes on. Just think even at $1 with the max supply mined is only 21M which is small compared to the top 100 even 200 coins. I truly believe MOIN is a top 100 coin but time will tell. Just waiting to see what this platform is all about.

just thinking out loud but i suggest we forgo the swap, if it means losing cryptopia. Seriously in 2018 i think topia will be a goldmine like bittrex. just my 2 cent.

i been a long time holder of moin but not post here before but i watch here a lot to see updates. i agree with you about this because cryptopia is very important exchange for moin, most trading for moin is on there. i not understand why there needs to be a coin swap at all because moin is doing good without a need for a coin swap. Can't the dev make the current coin work in with the platform?

I understand people's concerns with this and that is why I brought it up once the announcement for a coin swap was posted because I have seen with other coins such as Pie coin FootyCash and Solaris that they all needed to pay for a relisting fee once they had their coin swaps. Solaris is yet to be relisted but my point is that the listing is now way too expensive for a Cryptopia listing. However on the bright side we could always try and get MOIN listed on other exchanges like DEX exchanges as I believe they are the future to crypto trading.

Totally agree with you. I would also maybe suggest Shapeshift. The reason why I think this would be good is that new people entering crypto are using Shapeshift a lot since it is implemented within Exodus, Jaxx and similar wallets which seem to be popular with people who want to hold many coins inside one wallet. I personally use Exodus and love it (simple, beautiful UI, support is best in crypto). Would be interesting to see Moin there. I believe DEX will be used by more experienced users but newcomers will probably use Coinbase and wallets like Exodus

we can always submit to cryptobridge. I used it a few time and like the interface.
