zpool does not support the use of workername. Simply supply the BTC address you want to get paid in.

So, can I use just one BTC address for all (three) rigs?

<Address>.worker1
<Address>.worker2
<Address>.worker3
etc....

I believe worker names are not supported;  or rather;  they arent to be attached to the login name as they do no good.  I havent had any issues before adding one;  but I know ive been told by crackfoo that they arent used.

Just point all your miners at the same username and all mined funds will be payed out to that account =)

Link to my batch and script resources here.

Not having to dig through dozens of thread pages is why I went and asked the question Cheesy

In any case I finally bit the bullet and did my studying and got stratehm proxy running; and all of my problems seem to be solved. Running the proxy stratum during today's ~2hr downtime on the sha256 stratum answered a lot of questions too, I watched the stratum bounce on and off every few seconds for the duration of the downtime, I was able to force through a few shares but at great cost to the units overall hashrate.

It's no wonder the s7's choke on the connection, it's off and on a few dozen times a minute with the miner connecting and sending shares and getting rejects and disconnects in return, cgminer just has a breakdown followed by the OS under some circumstances. I realize now there's probably a pretty deep and difficult to fix problem with the server or the protocol it's using.

Thanks again!

Always hashing for the community. Oh, and dollars.

you can put names in the password like this
M1,d=2,c=BTC,decred=,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
M2,d=2,c=BTC,decred=,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
and then see each different rig's name under "miners" on the web page

I set mine like below, no issues:

-p c=BTC,decred,d=2

my rig 5 x 390, i don't use the d= and let stratum do its thing, average 9-10ghs
the diff at that speed goes all the over past 16 onwards

I added in that algorithm line and:

Ran at diff = 16000 for a couple hours, finally connection dropped and when it restarted I had lost 3/12 blades, 1 unit needed a reboot 2 units needed a power cycle.

Ran at diff = 18000 for a couple hours, connection drops, 1 unit recovered, 3 units locked up and needed power cycles, 1 unit needed a second power cycle and a soft reboot.

Now testing at diff = 20000, I hope something friggin works this profitability today is bonkers!

20000 had one machine lock up, had a failover at 22000 diff that they *almost* recovered from, only 1 blade dropped on one unit. So I have set them at 24000 diff and hopefully they stay up while I'm at my buddy's BBQ.

Is your profile BTC address valid citronik? I think you have some karma headed your way Smiley

the S7s, depending on which batch, are temperamental lot.

I use a safe 16000 most of the time, and use 22k-24k when solo mining PPC.

Well yeah, my BTC address is valid  Grin

Sorry to say that even at 24k diff I still came home to one unit locked up, and two needing reboots.

Just a nudge to crackfoo to see if there's a solution to this issue.

Still sent some karma your way citronik, cheers!

-p c=BTC,decred,d=2

yeah but if you set it to 3 does your miner go to 2 or 3

my rig 5 x 390, i don't use the d= and let stratum do its thing, average 9-10ghs
the diff at that speed goes all the over past 16 onwards
yeah i know that ,,,,,, what i am saying is
IF i set my min diff to 3 like this "d=3" then the min diff my miner accepts should be 3 ,,, right
but it's not because if i set my min diff to 3 my miner still accepts 2 ,,,, why ?

thanks

Probably down to difficulty normalisation. Diff=4 works OK. No need to set the diff low on this algo, since it is the only coin in the algo and the block find times are quite long.

Scaling and transaction rate: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=532.msg6306#msg6306
Do not allow demand to exceed capacity. Do not allow mempools to forget transactions. Relay all transactions. Eventually confirm all transactions.

I am right in thinking that higher diff accepts are worth more yeah ?

slower cards may have triggered this - is there a switch to force the d= level in sgminer, otherwise bring it up to crackfoo - he maybe able to adjust the stratum to start minimum 2 for DCR

Yes, because they contain more hash. But they take longer to submit so it evens out in theory.

Hello,

could somebody please advise how to set up sgminer for mining lyra2v2 on zpool? Which version of sgminer should be used, and with which parameters? Or probably not sgminer? I'm running Sapphire R9 390x and MSI R9 390X.

Tried a number of combinations, but each time it either submits only invalid shares or just doesn't work at all.

Thanks in advance

Good day, I'm on a testing mode for a decred on GPU mining using ccminer with this syntax:
Quote
ccminer_tpruvot -r 0 -a decred -o stratum+tcp://mine.zpool.ca:5744 -u 134stgUzSA4EwKcFcudGmZ8o33dfpur6xt -p x11,x13,x14,x15,qubit,lyra2v2,decred,c=btc

And here is the screenshot:

As the screenshot say, it is accepted, but I can't see the decred in my earnings, here: http://zpool.ca/?address=134stgUzSA4EwKcFcudGmZ8o33dfpur6xt

Can anybody advise?

Thanks in advance.

Wait for a decred block to be found.

Whats your command line you are using to start your miners? Most problems are usually using the wrong lyra algo.

Whats your command line you are using to start your miners? Most problems are usually using the wrong lyra algo.

For lyra2v2 I tried:

a) sgminer 5.3.0. with these params:
• sgminer.exe --no-submit-stale -k lyra2 --url=stratum+tcp://mine.zpool.ca:4533 -u [BTC_WALLET]:x -p c=BTC,lyra2 --keccak-unroll 0 --hamsi-expand-big 4 --nfactor 10  --xintensity 19 --thread-concurrency 19 --worksize 64 --gpu-threads 2

--> only invalid shares and max. hashrate 700-800 MH/s with MSI R9 390X
(tried to change password params varously - all the same)

• sgminer.exe -k lyra2 --url=stratum+tcp://mine.zpool.ca:4533 -u [BTC_WALLET]:x -p c=BTC,lyra2

--> freezes forever at "Initializing kernel lyra2re.cl with factor 10, n 1024

b) sgminer 5.1.0. with these params:
• sgminer.exe --no-submit-stale -k lyra2v2 --url=stratum+tcp://mine.zpool.ca:4533 -u [BTC_WALLET]:x -p c=BTC,lyra2v2 --nfactor 10 --xintensity 1024 --thread-concurrency 8192 --worksize 128 --gpu-threads 2

--> only invalid shares and max. hashrate 700-800 MH/s with MSI R9 390X
(tried to change password params varously - all the same)

And lots of other combinations....

Where am I wrong?
