bitcoin 1st crypto popular as usefull for payment .
and altcoin only support cryptography revolution . so far bitcoin the best for me,
bitcoin is always best. and best then every crypto currency. but some alternative currency also have good faith and trust. like dogecoin, litecoin and dash/dark coin. these are the altcoin who will live for long time and support bitcoin as well as they are doing.

that used to be the case few years back when altcoins where not even released, Bitcoin can sustain itself by itself since it's a great financial system, just having some people interested in it is enough.

It is true. The Ethereum has a market cap of more than $1 billion. Without that, the $1 billion can raise the bitcoin price by $60.

In terms of trade, which is very important for crypto, BTC would be nothing without altcoins. Imagine how trading would be boring if we would trade nothing but BTC.

Also, altocoin ve brought a lot of innovations into crypto. All in all, BTC and alts is a win-win situation.

exactly. altcoins are an excellent source of making more bitcoin. i am sure a lot of users in altcoin boards couldn't have half the bitcoin they are holding right now if it weren't for altcoin trading Cheesy

yeah and Ethereum also has 80 million coins available already (which is 5 times more than current bitcoin supply BTW) and that ETH supply is growing by the day.
anybody can do the math for its real worth after a while (hint check other altcoins with similar huge supply)

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

True, but dont forget ETH plans to go to the PoS phase, probably this fall. At that time, supply s going to be seriously limited cause I highly doubt they would introduce more then 5% a year PoS.

Bitcoin really benefit a lot from alt coins as it keeps its price and the market rotation of bitcoin is good, a lot of people will have a hard time trading as the price might not be profitable for others.

It should be the other way around. Altcoin without bitcoin. Bitcoin was first to launch and is the most established digital currency.
Its the Alt Coins which depends on bitcoins. You must have noticed that when Bitcoins prices increases, Altcoin prices also increases
and vice versa.

I just wanted to get your opinions on this one , what do you think Bitcoin would be if there was no Alternative coins such Litecoin & Dogecoin and the others ...
I mean it would be better with or without them Bitcoin would have no value at all ?
Bitcoin would still be bitcoin with or without alt coins.I dont see alt coins have any effect on bitcoin value except that most altcoins are bought with bitcoin and their value is measured with respect to bitcoin

I think with or without Altcoin, bitcoin still okay with that. I mean if bitcoin without altcoin, i'm sure bitcoin's price will increase because all people focus on bitcoin, not altcoin.

Those useless ones die fast. I m talking about 50 the most prominent ones, crypto needs them. It s like having we should drive only BMW cause it s one of the best cars in the world. Yet, I still drive my Opel.

There is many altcoins that has its place and its purpose.

However, Bitcoin would do totally fine without them.
Would it do better? I honestly have no idea.

bitcoin can normally exist without altcoins and would be fine since it's the original, it already existed without altcoins before litecoin was made, I don't think altcoins can exist without bitcoin though.

Yeah altcoin might have not existed if there is no bitcoin. But bitcoin has grown up to this level only because of altcoin because they started competing with bitcoin.

Yes this is true, with alts we have diversity and with diversity you don't have monopoly, which is in theory.
But already we have BTC monopoly and many alts are welcomed with knives. I love alts i have many successful trades behind me which i can thanks to alts.

Well, basically altcoin born because of the bitcoin. so if bitcoin without altcoin then everything will be fine, but if altcoin without bitcoin, I am sure it will not last long

Alts are not danger for bitcoin so i think they have good influence on community, many new ideas are born in altcoin sections that can be applied to bitcoin also or at least they can show right way of the progress.

Bitcoin needs altcoins. Without traders, the community would be much smaller, maybe bitcoin wouldn't have made it till today.
