Well, i think Altcoin is made because it give us short way to make bitcoins, you can say that altcoin is a way to reach the bitcoin. Although bitcoin is original crypto currency and altcoin is a copy of bitcoin. But both are important in its own ways and also both give us profit.
Hmm..bitcoins can stand alone and we can still earn bitcoins without altcoins . Yes both bitcoins and altcoins have different ways and have their own uses in the market .if we reverse altcoins without bitcoins ,i think altcoins cn't stand alone because if bitcoins don't exist altcoins will have a hard time to be popular as bitcoins now. But being an altcoin trader, I am highly dependent on alternate crypto currencies to make possibility of earning bitcoins. I agree, it is just one of the application of bitcoin system that I'm using for my earning purposes. Fundamentally bitcoin does not need any other altcoins for its growth and survival. thats right bitcoin is not relying with any alt it is the alt relied on it since adoption is already on it bitcoin can survive even there's no alt which supporting it, the process of using bitcoin is enough to use into cryptocurrency. |

I just wanted to get your opinions on this one , what do you think Bitcoin would be if there was no Alternative coins such Litecoin & Dogecoin and the others ...
I mean it would be better with or without them Bitcoin would have no value at all ?
if there will be no altcoin then the option of trading in bitcoin world will not be easy . and only gambling and faucets site will remain effective in the internet . so it is better that there is altcoin . Trading, gambling and faucets are not the only ways in which someone can make bitcoins, there are various other methods for earning bitcoins, though trading alt coins is one of the best ways of earning bitcoins but still if there are no alt coins, bitcoin will still be the same, maybe sadden the traders somehow. |

I think its better to have altcoins with bitcoin because it helps give a better spread of crypto currencies and increase their use. For example not everyone wants to or can mine spmthe stake or mint instead. The other currencies give you different options for investing as well. Nothing wrong with a little competition anyway.
Though now we really need more and more ways to spend altcoins strait without having to convert to bitcoins before hand. This will increase everything's value and give us more orders to buy and sell with. That's what I mean when I say it gives a better spread to have altcoins.

Without other coins market would become cool because there would be no competition and traders and other user will have only one option that is to use bitcoin but when we have 750+ coins and among them 10 coins have high market capitalization so bitcoin rules the cryptocurrency world but without other altcoins it would become fun less in cryptocurrency world.

Without altcoins bitcoin would have sailed a whole other boat. I am convinced many people would have bailed out.
Because just bitcoin seems boring. It's good that there are some alternatives to make it exciting.

I agree, its really better bitcoin with altcoin, they are like partners. Both gives a partial role in the bitcoin world. This gives a more extra income who uses bitcoin because of a crypto currencies. |

I think Bitcoin still have value although without lite coin , doge coin or other altcoin. bitcoin Can stand alone without them, I think all of altcoin devootee will change their interest to bitcoin. But I think we only lost on thing that important enough to grow our bitcoin. Yes that thing is trade againts altcoin that realy good for trader. Trade bitcoin againts altcoin is one of important investment in bitcoin. I think altcoin is still needed. |

It would have affected bitcoin weather there are other altcoins or not because bitcoin became a success even before other altcoins were introduced and seeing that other coins were developed as well,bitcoin has already a great value in usd and other fiat currencies.

I can't imagine bitcoin without the altcoins....There are many bitcoin adopters who are very stubborn and don't see any value in the altcoins. However, alternate blockchains provide a means to collect valuable data that can be used to benefit the future development of the bitcoin network. Those who resist change actually hurt the platform. If bitcoin doesn't evolve and keep up with technological advances then it may very well fall behind more innovative platforms.

Its better to have altcoins so that we can use our bitcoins to grown it and to roll for do our bitcoin can grow because if theres no altcoins maybe the bitcoin its not easy to grow. So that many are mining altcoins to change it in bitcoin. So its better to have altcoins for bitcoin have more value. |

Totally agree. Bitcoin would still be in the stone ages right now with a handful of devotees if it weren't for altcoins. I remember a couple of years ago, Bitcoin veterans were even talking about completely removing the altcoin section from the forum here, I think that would've been the worst move ever. I, myself started out with Dogecoin before moving to Bitcoin exclusively. Dogecoin allowed me to make some money at a time when Bitcoin was way too expensive for me, as a newbie, to consider investing in. |

I think the headline of OP is not correct or it should be that Altcoin without Bitcoin, as Bitcoin is the first digital currency and all altcoin are based and valued on Bitcoin value or converted in bitcoin, So it is that bitcoin is the main source of Altcoin value.

Also the bitcoin can exist becuase the altcoin has nothing to do with the bitcoin you know they are both different currencies and do it does not matter when you use one of them you
know so when you want to use altcoin ok when you use bitcoin also does not matter.

i don't know what will happen if bitcoin without altcoin and i don't want to think about it. maybe bitcoin will not become famous like now, and will be on the bottom of the note. bitcoin and altcoin is related with connecting each other and both will walk together side by side.

if it wasnt for altcoins, then mining pool owners wouldnt be making as much profit from the merge mining that happens. thus they would attempt to milk the miners more, which would increase the tx fee war, where miner are trying to get more reward.
if it wasnt for altcoins, then some of the exchanges wouldnt have a business. seeing as some of them do not want to handle fiat due to the fiat regulations, they would be nothing to value bitcoin against without altcoin.
if it wasnt for altcoins, then people would not have as much freedom to play around making their own code, and be more forced into the bitcoin consensus of the github, where change takes forever and freedoms of creativity are limited to the security of bitcoin.

I don't think so, altcoins can change the value of bitcoin(for more or for less). For example, an altcoin can bring attention of the public that don't know bitcoin yet, and after some time they can learn more about bitcoin and start to use it and the price goes up, or, people can buy alts with bitcoin and the value goes down... |

I don't think so, altcoins can change the value of bitcoin(for more or for less). Isn't that something a friend error ..?? . You are trying to learn how to altcoin use the bitcoin as their main currency (exchange rate). Mostly just to reinforce the growth of the bitcoin, because they came out or came up with using bitcoin and currency conversion of $ only as an indicator on the price they could get when selling altcoin. You must continue to learn in order to get maximum results |

I don't think so, altcoins can change the value of bitcoin(for more or for less). But imagine investing all those millions of dollars that solicited by altcoin projects in bitcoin instead. We would be far from where we are right now. Scam coin has been a trend ever since and I think that just decreases the price of bitcoin. The bitcoins that the devs have collected will be converted into fiat no matter what the price is. I think bitcoin would be much better without these scam coins covered by the name "altcoin". |
