Bitcoin without Altcoin ?

Bitcoin is a currency and none of the currency depends on any other currency, but their strength is depended on its rate of adoption by the people and its regular circulation among the community. The more people accept it the more strength it adopt. So bitcoin is independent to altcoin or any othe crypto currency.

That is true that bitcoin is independent from altcoin and bitcoin alone I think can survive as long as there are supporters who used it. Bitcoin,the father of all crypo's is the standard in cryptocurrency.But an altcoin,from its name alternative coin, is really an alternative one.

Indeed,  bitcoin could  really stand alone  without  those alts  as you said   its the father  of all crypto and altcoin are  just dependent  in to  it, as you can see those altcoin could  only be exchanged  by bitcoin itself  these means  alts  are  just  alternative , the name  speaks  for itself. Same  as  you said.  Theres  nothing to worry  about  if  bitcoin   would be the  only  one   remains  without altcoins,as long  the adoption is there it wont die.

Bitcoin is traded a lot against altcoins in many exchanges.
If suddenly that demand would vanish, we would have an over supply of bitcoins on the market and that would lead us to a drop in the bitcoin price.
Of course bitcoin could survive that scenario, since it pulls its strength out if the infrastructure built around bitcoin, but it would not be pleasent.

Good way to think, actually we can see a lot of daily traders, long term investors and for sure "all" this money have bitcoin in the middle.

Yes, some years ago there were hardly a few altcoins like dogecoins and all. So yeah bitcoins alone can survive and sometimes I think would be indeed better because there are people who invest in shit coins and loose money then loose faith from BTC too

At the same if altcoins haven't got existed sure bitcoin won't get such an increased user profiles that is very high compared to altcoins. Altcoins acts to be an competitor, if none is there to compete then it won't be much effective. I personally think altcoins as the boosters for digital currency as well bitcoin's growth.

Well i do understand that some people had lost some bitcoins into shit coins, and those will keep happening as people does invest into icos of coins that has nothing besides a wallet to make live and use. But the same way some had loose bitcoins others had been able to multiply their bitcoins with altcoins.

You can buy a lot of things besides altcoins with BTC.  As the saying goes, gotta know where to shop.  (kind of crass but fits here)

You buy an item , and the vendor exchanges BTC for Fiat to run the business, causing a decrease in price.
Altcoins provide a never ending market to constantly buy BTC , this causes an increase because many BTC are used for nothing more that supporting the price of Alts taking them out of general supply. You will not get that from just buying goods & services, as the BTC will be sold almost immediately by 90% of the vendors.

I disagree with what you have said about the only use of bitcoin is buying alts. If that is true no one will be using bitcoin as a mode of payment like how Steam accepts bitcoin to buy in there store. I mean bitcoin is the most successful Cryptocurrency to date to prove it, it's price is way ahead of other cryptocurrency out there also how businesses starting to accept bitcoin as a mode of payment which shows other altcoins are no match to bitcoin.

I think we're in an altcoin bubble again currently. We're not seeing any real innovation or value creation, but rather a series of pumps (Azure related news, often), dumps and essentially Bitcoin "hedging".

I think that bitcoin without atcoin will make bitcoin prices declined. Well, most likely boosted the price becomes higher bitcoin is altcoin, because all altcoin always focused on bitcoin. so if one large altcoin disappeared, perhaps it will make bitcoin prices decline

Ok,
I only use BTC to buy altcoins, credit cards or cash for everything else.
Without alts , BTC would never see any conversion of fiat from me.
With the fact , that BTC is owned by the Chinese Mining Pools, to me it is no different than Paypal.
The only reason Alts are behind BTC is the majority of people have barely even heard of BTC much less Alts.
In Time , that will change and a reevaluation of BTC worth & capabilities verses Alts with it.

It's the intellectual climate of the altcoins which make the altcoin infrastructure so appealing.  The good ones, which I think there are over 20, all do different things.  This is why I said it's like Forex, not to see it as a trading platform primarily but a new set of nations which have values.

I think bitcoin still good or even more better without altcoin. if all developer  focus on btc  and use bitcoin. It will affect the price of bitcoin too, it can be increase a bit high.

The fact that new coins are popping up everyday is a thing to worry about. Many of them are just pump and dump schemes and they are actually running to scam people. This has lead to people thinking that bitcoin and other altcoins are actually ponzi schemes and are running just to scam people in the long run.

Hence bitcoin without altcoin would have been better in my opinion.
