It is really nothing but it helps now for making bitcoin be seen in different ways. We know this altcoins are all over even in social media which are great for advertising. Those ways can easily create a new bitcoin user that might invest or maybe better a good merchant for buying and selling products that accepts bitcoin as payment. And we all want that right?

would not have big effects for bitcoin but what will happen if no treade, it means no people who hype , no PnD group , No ICO ,no bounty  , i think that what make altcoin is unique for bitcoin |

And we have other coin to compare bitcoin that is why the rating of bitcoin is continuous increasing. |

Bitcoin is traded a lot against altcoins in many exchanges.
If suddenly that demand would vanish, we would have an over supply of bitcoins on the market and that would lead us to a drop in the bitcoin price.
Of course bitcoin could survive that scenario, since it pulls its strength out if the infrastructure built around bitcoin, but it would not be pleasent.
Yes, it is true that the transactions would reduce obviously and the demand of bitcoin will be reduced too, but I am sure that won't affect the price of bitcoins since the price of bitcoins is determined by big holders. The best thing would be if there were limited alt coins. |

Its not only 300 btc but a whooping price of 3300 btc which is really insane for an altcoin, the hype goes up to high which causes for the price to be like this but as expected it would really dump as hard as you can imagine and now it really happens because the price now is 0.02 btc ,, sorry for those investards who bought on expensive price points. Bitcoin without altcoin could able to happen because bitcoins is the father of all cryptos, doesnt affect at all. |

Augur and zcash were two altcoins that started hight till the community find their possible value, since both projects arent yet running makes no sense to overprice them, and since the begining those two were overpriced, some people were able to make easy bitcoin, while others had lost their coins. |

I just wanted to get your opinions on this one , what do you think Bitcoin would be if there was no Alternative coins such Litecoin & Dogecoin and the others ...
I mean it would be better with or without them Bitcoin would have no value at all ?
If there's no altcoin and only bitcoin,then bitcoin will be more stronger than what we are seeing now,holders and traders will be much more focus on Bitcoin compare when there are other crypto currency . |

I dont know what bitcoin would be or become without altcoins, even maybe it being possible stronger, sure some altcoins does damage crypto world while others just bring more inovation. |

If there were no other crypto currencies I think the price of bitcoin will be more stable since people could not try to ride a rising in the price of bitcoin so easily, besides I think a lot more people will hold their coins and that may cause the price to go higher than it is right now.

I think the price of bitcoin is not too high like this current price because alt coin really have big impact on the demand of bitcoin for the trading method that are most of the user doing this method.

Just in my opinion, these altcoins are what make bitcoin stronger. The more people who get into altcoins will eventually get into bitcoin. This spreads the news. Altcoins also allow us to see what other improvements that are out there that can be made with bitcoin in the future. Again, just my opinion.

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip.
Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

I doubt even if bitcoin hasnt competition it wouldnt improve, augur and zcash were made to put bitcoin into another level, besides that there is the issue of blocksize and when the mines ends how the system will work, some say the fees will be the rewards to the miners. |
