http://8btc.com/ is the Chinese equivalent of bitcointalk and I feel that if there is something missing from the BURST brochure then it is definitely presence in the Chinese markets.
*snip*

I agree, this is a good idea. What about other markets too? Africa, Latin America and so forth. Burst is bursting with technological advantages enabling anyone to use it all over the world.

EDIT

Also, what about getting added to Shapeshift.io or similar services?

The other markets are important but the chinese markets should be the top priority as thats where 90% of the bitcoin mining/production is happening.

With regards to shapeshift, I agree with Jacob70. Burst is just very illiquid at the moment to be a success on shapeshift, looking at the buy side today, it will only take about 15 mil to drop the price by around 34%.

Other exchanges such btc38, yunbi or even bter are better options imo. Do we have any chinese natives in our community who can probably help out with writing emails and such that we can all send to these exchanges to show them what they are missing (google translate is a bad idea)

Currently looking to get into a talk with our current chinese team member, to see where he can take things on this note. Will post updates when they are there.

Guys I just acquired some Burst @ BURST-BAX4-GX9T-GNX9-5TCLC , and I want to tell you that bitrex purchase of Burst is buggy. I tried withdrawing 5 times and it always sent me an error.

Then I figured out that you had to initialize the account first, so I searched for a faucet to initialize the account. It's similar to NEXT coin, i had issues there too. It might not be as straightforward for other newbies an It took me 5 hours to figure out what was the problem. I dont know if its the same with other accounts, but beware when buying at bitrex.

Thank you for pointing this out.

I will make sure that the faucet links are easier to find, but did you know that the Windows Client for BURST, has the faucet linked on the top of it? That may be the easiest way at current time to find the faucet.

As far as bittrex goes, I don't know why they use the setup the way they do, but I agree that it is much more difficult than the other exchanges to deal with... Not sure there is much we can do about it, it is simply the way they have decided to set things up on their end.

@hl5460 reply:

Thanks for the info. BURST looks interesting. I am afraid that we don't offer such service at the moment.
Usually, you need to find a Chinese-speaking community manager to do the job.

All we need to do is to create a promo/giveaway thread on 8btc such as this one http://8btc.com/thread-27131-1-1.html

Any suggestions on how we can proceed from here?

Currently looking to get into a talk with our current chinese team member, to see where he can take things on this note. Will post updates when they are there.

That's great crowetic, thank you

Well I'm using mac but thanks for the info. The bitrex can be just easily solved if somebody contacts their support, I'm not sure how it works on other exchanges , but I'm sure it can be resolved. Maybe it's the public key that is setup incorrectly (because I tried withdrawing by pasting the pubkey into the message of the withdraw and still didn't work, you need to initialize the account first)

From the image you seem it looks that you are mining fine. You are submitting deadlines, so that is good. The failed info line is just saying that your miner did not get a conformation for whom (i.e. that URL you have in in you miner.conf under get mining info) you set to inform you who solved a certain block and also the network size and possibly some other info.

As far as I understand this does not affect your mining

You're mining - that you're getting confirmed Deadlines show's that.

The Failed Info line just indicates that a request for the status of mining timed out, probably wallet overload/too busy.

But you are mining and earning.

We're working on a new explorer, apologies for the delay on that... I realize the necessity of this, and it is one of the priorities on my list. Thanks!

-[ANNOUNCEMENT]- BURST PR - Do  you have the cojones to prove how much you love BURST and want it to be successful??

Hello community,

I am right now in talks with the team, and a few others who will be joining us, and we're going to do a large BURST PR 'stunt' (if you will) to finally get BURST into the public eye the way it should be.

I would like anyone who is willing to help out. (There is nothing to lose, all you have to do is trust the BURST AT system.)

I myself, will be doing a big part of the contribution, to show how much I believe in the system, anyone else willing to help out, please contact me.

All this will take, is people sending some coin to an AT CF, then the coin will be sent back to you. But there is a twist, and that twist is what the PR will be about.

I've already worked with a promoter friend of mine in order to get the document I'm going to write put up on the popular BTC news sites. All I need is a few other people to help me out with this.

We truly believe that this will be the PR that gets BURST recognized, and followed by the people who need to be following it, and makes it truly successful and trusted, making it the name to know regarding Automated Transactions.

BURST was the FIRST coin to have Automated Transactions working, with a fully 'Turing Complete' language. BURST is the most trustworthy AT system in existence. This PR will prove that.

Please contact me if you're interested in helping secure the future of BURST as one of the best platforms in the world! Thanks!
