Is that legit?

I contacted ShapeShift support to ask them questions about the ICO. Here is what they answered me :

Hello. There has been widespread mis-reporting that ShapeShift is partnering with LISK for their ICO. This is NOT the case, we are in no way affiliated with, partnering with, or hosting Lisk's ICO despite reports to the contrary. As far as we know LISK may be utilizing our Shifty button to help process some payments (which anyone is free to do) but we have no partnership with them in an official capacity what-so-ever.

We have in the past partnered with one other company to help with the crowdsale but have since decided to no longer offer this service as we are focusing more of our efforts in other avenues.

We are in a technologic partnership with ShapeShift. That means we are using their technology, i.e. their API and functionalities. I have specifically and privately asked Erik Vorhees, the owner/founder/ceo of ShapeShift. He agreed that I'm allowed to say "in a partnership".

In my opinion they didn't think Lisk would explode like that. Also I think they would like to secure themselves and their reputation.

Considering the Ethereum ICO, it raised millions of dollars and it was still a worthwhile investment. Most investors could have made ten times what they put in if they immediately sold, and much more if they held until now. An ICO raising big money doesn't mean participants won't make a good profit.

How did you all manage to send crypti from poloniex to the ICO? I made a transaction to my deposit address when I moved them over from BTER, but somehow I'm unable to send the coins over.

Appearently I need a passphrase which I obviously don't have, second it says the balance is too low.

It's not possible to send from an exchange. I hope I didn't explained it wrong somewhere, had little sleep. You need to send it to your own account and then initiate the transfer from there. The passphrase is the passphrase to your Crypti account.

This is probably the case because we are connecting to the https://cryptiwallet.lisk.io/ API. So to an API outside of the https://ico.lisk.io/ website. It's not a problem.

Oke I am really lucky that I found this coin today.
I Actually traded in my maidsafe coin and Electronic gulden to invest in this.
Because I think Ethereum and Lisk could both be great.

Question tho when I send the Bitcoins it says I had 3800 Lisk.
Few hours later it I am only getting 2680 Lisk.
Is that because more people bought in to Lisk?

Why are people dumping so much BTC into this ICO?

The previous project of the LISK developers, crypti, is not massively successful.  History of low trading volume and sub-1000 btc market cap.

What makes you think they will be massively successful with their new LISK project?

Everyone is rich from Ethereum and wants to get on the next Ethereum. LISK also had good marketing.

You can't compare your individual assets to the combined assets of everybody else and feel your assets are insignificant.  Instead, you have to ask yourself - what percentage return on investment (ROI) can I get for my resources that I can put into this investment opportunity?  

I think the ROI for Lisk looks really good.  Many others agree.  You are welcome to join our community.

85M Lisk will be given out to people who buy in with BTC, Crypti and Shapeshift coins.  15M are retained for dev payments, bounties, marketing and rewards.  100M Lisk total in the genesis block after March 21.
