got bored just reading so heres my first post to say hello all and agree that when a bit of promo starts from the Waves team - things are going to hot up fast

WAVES itself was created through such a crowdfunding effort. Instead of seeking VC or private investment, WAVES aimed from the start to build a grassroots movement of users, testers and backers. Around 6000 people invested a total of about 30,000 bitcoins with a current value of over $16 million to fund development and marketing. 100 million WAVES tokens, the ‘fuel’ for the platform, were distributed to investors after the crowdfund. Because these tokens are required for all operations on the platform, investors hope to profit from the demand for these tokens as adoption grows. Further features, to be implemented later this year, include a decentralised exchange – on which currencies can be bought and sold – and a voting system.

Most posts in waves op is about price, looks bad, just see xem and maidsafe op, there are mainly talking about technology, more tech release= higher price, guys please focus on tech more.

Because the tech is fine, there are constant updates and developments, what is the issue is the price not reflecting its true value or even the amount of immediate capital available to the Waves team and this is specifically because we're stuck on Bittrex in a market with no volume because the exchange itself is lucky to have 1000BTC worth of action across the entire board on a good day.

Fortunately, Waves will be a decentralized exchange and once the DEX is live, then everything will change, first of all be making regular old style trading systems obsolete and second of all offering true anonymity to traders in a time when other exchanges are getting more and more intrusive on behalf of foreign governments and corporations, so this explains why most exchanges don't want to add it or word to get out.

The day the Chinese and Indian editions of the software are released and they get wind of it, along with US and EU citizens such as those forced to be exposed to the IRS recently with Coinbase, Waves will be worth more than any of us now can appreciate.

What exchanges would you like Waves to be on? Poloniex? Then tweet and ask others to re-tweet, fill in the coin info and promote waves to others who will do the same and then they may see a community that is actually worth backing.
