Definitely an emotional race for Leclerc!    He was crying with joy in his car after winning the race. He waited for this moment so long. Winning a race at home is really invaluable for drivers.

A really great frame captured while Leclerc was celebrating his win.  



There were tactical wars between Ferrari and McLaren during the whole race. While I was wondering maybe McLaren would go for an undercut there wasn't any pit at all. I didn't even know the first time they entered due to red flag was counted as a pit.    I'm glad Perez is okay after that horrible accident.

Another interesting thing was Russell's completing the whole race with the medium tyres he got during the red flag.

Boring but emotional race today.

As said in Monaco you cant pass, it is only about strategy, for example if Charles was driving in 1.25 (and not 1.16) and saving the battery in correct turn he was still able to win.

What a destroyed car Perez got, and the incident was not so at high speed, crazy.

If not 1st lap action, it would be one of most boring races I ever saw. That crash was huge, Magnussen was a bit too much optimistic if he wanted to overtake Perez here. Sainz got lucky with red flag, otherwise it would be end of race for him.
Ocon, wtf he is doing and again again his teammate, how this guy is still in F1.
It's impossible to overtake in Monaco, probably I can count all overtakes on my one hand fingers. Stroll did it few times, thanks him for some entertainment, but it only can happen when opponent makes mistake or lose comcentration a bit.

Yeah Stroll managed to do some overtakes cause he got such much better tires with better grip otherwise it was not possible.
In a narrow track like this one with these huge cars (these cars are almost 6m long)

Boring but emotional race today.

It was quite a boring race, even Max himself said that he should have brought a pillow because it was so boring. In fact, in the history of F1, this is the first time there has been a race where the drivers from P1-P10 finished according to yesterday's qualifying session, which shows that the bigger F1 cars are no longer suited to the Monaco circuit which is not being updated. In fact, I could say that yesterday's F2 race was more interesting to watch compared to F1. But even so, the results of yesterday's race were very impressive for Charles, because this was the first time he had won on the circuit in his home country. It was quite emotional, and as a Ferrari fan I looked at Charles with great pride. Hopefully this will be a positive result for Charles' performance in the upcoming races.

The only interesting part was Lap 1. That was a really horrifying accident between Magnussen and Perez.    Most part of the car was just torn apart. Thankfully Perez is healthy now without even having a concussion as far as I know. Sainz was really lucky indeed. Despite having a blowout after a touch to Piastri's car, the red flag after Perez's accident helped Sainz return to the race at the same position he started.  

After that the race was completely boring. We didn't even see the front rows pitting. If it wasn't for that accident the race could have been more exciting with pits but nobody wanted to take risks. Great job, Leclerc! Finally a home Grand Prix win.

Yeah..  It was so boring and the red flag at the start of the race didn't help.  It took some time and by the time it was around the 10th lap or so, I just stopped watching altogether and went on to do something else.  The next race is at Canada...  :/  Yeah skipping that one.  Will start watching the next few races starting at the Spanish GP up to the Singaporean GP.

Btw, it seems like India's MotoGP race will be canceled this year, moving it to the next season if the organizer is to be trusted[1]. They cited weather conditions as the reason why the race needed to be moved, as it is too challenging for riders and marshalls to do their jobs. Some argue the key reason is likely financial reason. Whatever the reason is, it will reduce the number of races this season if this is true. I wonder if this will make the season more interesting since riders need to be strict with points to ensure they win the season or not. CMIIW.

It looks like we are likely to have a more exciting race in Canada after leaving the boring ones in Imola and Monaco behind.    But I must admit I'm very happy to see Leclerc winning a home Grand Prix for the first time in his career - and winning a race after 2 years.    The current driver standings look quite interesting though. Verstappen - 169 points, Leclerc 138 points.

Do you think Leclerc can bring a big rivalry to Verstappen this season?    To me, it still looks really difficult. It feels like Verstappen will pull away from everyone at one point. But for now it is a great joy to see this competition between.

Additionally, I have read some news like Ferrari doesn't want Adrian Newey anymore. Are they out of their mind?

I'm quite optimistic that Charles can give tough competition this season to Max, even though more people are more positive about Max, but I still have hope that Charles can give very good competition this season and don't rule out the possibility that he can get the title Championship this year, nothing is impossible. He just needs a good strategy and a few upgrades on his car, that will bring him to his best performance.

Additionally, I have read some news like Ferrari doesn't want Adrian Newey anymore. Are they out of their mind? 

It's just a rumor, we don't know for sure whether the rumor is like the reality on the ground or not. But what is certain is that Newey will choose the best team for him to work with. Whether it's Ferrari, Williams, Mercedes and McLaren, these teams have a big chance of becoming Newey's new home.

That would be stupid from Ferrari if they don't want the mastermind which has made possible for a couple of teams to dominate in different eras of F1,he won with McLaren,then before with Redbull and again in our times with Redbull again.I think though that in the last couple of races Verstappen despite winning in Imola has clearly lost the domination of the previous seasons and most likely the deterioration will continue further,especially now that we move to Canada a super fast track clearly favoring in this time McLaren I would say,Sergio Perez is a clear demonstration of Redbull deterioration which for me is evident.

Tomorrow FP1 for the seventh MotoGP series this season will start again where Ducati will compete at its home, namely Mugello. I think this week the race will be much more exciting than what happened in Barcelona last week because remember there is a very long straight track at Mugello. And the host riders from Italy will definitely take advantage of this race to get on the podium, especially for riders using Ducati motorbikes.

What do I think?  Dunno...  The race fixing shenanigans he was involved in could come haunting him every now and then.  But on the other hand, I would love to see a team principal who's had some success in the past return and somehow and against all odds carry his team to the top.  I mean wouldn't want to see something like that in F1, esp now that has gotten a lot more boring.

And Wikipedia says he already is with Alpine.  Hmmm...  We prolly will hear an announcement in a couple of months.

Ferrari really looks a lot better, and Mclaren is also looking like a great car as well. Red Bull is losing power somewhere, and they are not looking like the Red Bull we have seen last year, none of the upgrades they had looks like it would be that great, we should probably expect them to get worse as well.

Max is great, and everyone assumes he will always win at all times, but remember, when he was given a worse car, to Hamiltons amazing car, Max lost for many years before he started winning because he got a better car. While I do agree that Max is the best driver on the track, and by far, it doesn't mean that you can just give him a Haas or Williams car and expect him to win, so Red Bull needs to make the car a lot better.

He is also saying the same thing that has been speculated lately. Mercedes looks quite ahead already when it comes to power unit. But a car isn't all about power unit of course. There is aerodynamics and many more factors to keep the car steady and really fast. If Mercedes manages to build a strong car as a whole then 2026 might be the time for a return. 

Kimi Antonelli speculations are getting louder by the way. He might really fill Hamilton's seat next season. What would you expect from him in his 1st season in that case?

I hope Marc Marquez will be able to perform better especially for the qualification so he can have better start position.
With the result of the 2 previous races where Marc start from 13 and 14 but he managed to take one of the podium so I think the race will be much more interesting if Marc start the race from the front row.
Something that may not be able to done by other riders IMO, so it was really amazing performance from Marc.
Ducati riders will dominate the race again at Mugello but I want to see Acosta to be breaker for the Ducati domination.

Nope, they weren't teammates. Back then there was Ricciardo, Gasly and Albon.
I'm very sceptical about Vettel's return. He wasn't racing for few years and when he was still at Aston Martin, he already was beyond his prime. Doubt that he would perform better than Perez or potentially Ricciardo.

You're right!

Seb was already in Ferrari at the time.
But keep in mind that Max do not want a contender his comfort zone look like to be with a week teammate.
He never had, or wanted a strong team mate.

The ones he had when they weren't good went sacked by RBR.

Seb could be a good candidate, not in his prime anymore so probably slower, very peaceful guy.

Acosta still needs to try several things to be able to continue to disrupt the front row even though he is a rookie in MotoGP this season and for the Mugello race as seen in recent years, Ducati still has better dominance and the Italian riders will also try to be the best as Bagnaia has shown in the last few seasons. I also hope that the Mugello race this time can be quite fierce because remember there are several strong riders at the moment, but Mugello is the home of Ducati and also other Italian riders and Aprilia will also try to get a better position in the Mugello race this weekend.
