I am no longer going to post on this thread, you can all thank the troll for that.

I am too busy to have to deal with a complete idiot like that who doesn't have a clue what he is talking about.

I don't take a wage, I live off benefits (working tax credits and housing benefit), so yet again you have no idea what your talking about.

Anyway, everyone else can see plain as day that we haven't "backpedalled" as he likes to put it. We have stayed on course and been completely transparent with the work being done.

Here is a new invoice I got today that needs paying, our monthly cost for one server:

Maybe that will put it into contrast. Not to mention we have to pay for the two DNS servers as well every month.

So there is the truth, no pay check, no income, just outgoings, cost, time and effort.

Just put ignore on him, Ive done that now and everyone else should.

Time will tell don't spend time on fud. We know how it works and most of us only want to see this ball rolling as soon as possible and you want the same of course.

A small DarkSilk update: We have implemented and are now testing Argon2d PoW and it is working great with no issues so far. More information can be found here: https://github.com/SCDeveloper/DarkSilk-Release-Candidate/pull/197.

Thanks for hypes, devs and supporters.  I jumped in when it was 300 and made 4x my money.  Good thing I got out in time before people realized that launch wasn't happening.  I don't know how close we are to actual launch as dev keeps us in dark but I reckon maybe at least another half year.    I will take time buy back when prices drops to 450, 500ish range.  I did enjoy big fluctuation  in the market time to time and makes us traders heart flutter.   Well good job guys and keep up the good work.

I can assure you the launch will happen and it has a very good chance of being the most exciting launch of 2016. And yes, price fluctuation is fun for us traders - just don't get left behind

The idea of instant gratification is just ruining everything, you just expect to click something type something and it happens instantly, or in a very short time for that matter.

Things require time, a lot of it...

Just because your average layman is used to having everything at hands length doesn't mean that stuff just appears, somebody pputts the time into it so you can enjoy a service or product at the other end, this case is no different, someone has to put the time day in day out for you to just open an UI make use of it.

Things require energy, Tons of it.

To modify something and go along is a hassle but it is manageable to have an idea and start developing around it is much bigger of a hassle and headache because while some of the current technology will fit most of it needs to be developed from scratch which has no other way than trial and error, and that is a hell of a draining process both emotional and economical.

To not make this an over-dramatic and long post, i wont analyze too deep, just mind this:

Asking developers for a hideous amount of details all the time is both  counterproductive and counter-intuitive , it affects speed, quality and motivation for further development.

While it's a common fact that there will be a couple shits wherever you look and this post isn't to them but rather to the average community member or just interested person, don't be a twat DO read the op and the rest of the thread for answers, and then ask for whatever you're interested in, just be patient and polite nobody owes you anything...

Why do you need a dedicated server? I could understand if you had Weaver up and running. Tons of traffic etc.

The traffic/bandwidth on that dedicated server is a lot and we are not using that atm obviously, however, we do need the dedicated server to build Weaver on and test tx's etc. and emulate a fully loaded server. For the cost, this is a very good server and in all actuality the cost is negligible. We may need a more powerful server after testing is complete for real-world, but that's why we are testing.

ohh, the camel is here. Was difficult to find this new thread.

Hopefully if and when arteleis comes back he can stick a link to this thread in the last post in of the old one so that any other camels wandering lost in the desert can find their way back home.  Wink
