Are you using Simple mining ti mine UBIQ?

Im trying and cant get it to work.

Question in other forum:

Hello all and Happy New Year.

To save me reading through 1000's of posts - which i will start doing - can anyone give me pointers on mining other Ethash coins on my AMD rig currently running claymore-eth-v10.2 mining Etherium?
-wd 1 -r 1 -epool stratum+tcp://eth-eu.dwarfpool.com:8008 -ewal $walletETH/$rigName -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333 -asm 1

And NeoScrypt on my Nvidea Rig currently running ewbf-0.3.4b mining Z Cash.
--server eu1-zcash.flypool.org --user xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.$rigName --pass x --port 3333

I've tried changing things and i can't get anything to work.

A few pointers would be greatly received.

Thanks

W

So i just tried using my claymore miner in SmOS to mine Ubiq and i get nothing.
Basically changing -epool address and using an UBQ address:
-wd 1 -r 1 -epool stratum+tcp://eu.ubiqpool.io:8008 -ewal 0x000000000000000000000000000000/$rigName -esm 0 -epsw x -allpools 1 -mport -3333 -asm 1

I get:
ETH: Stratum - connecting to 'eu.ubiqpool.io' <209.222.30.133> port 8008
ETH: Stratum - Connected (eu.ubiqpool.io:8008)
ETH: Authorization failed
: {"id":2,"jsonrpc":"2.0","result":null,"error":{"code":-1,"message":"Invalidlogin"}}
Stratum - reading socket failed, disconnect
ETH: Job timeout, disconnect, retry in 20 sec...

Anyone had trouble with the AMD Wattman compute workloads switch using 17.12.2 minimal setup drivers?

I just added two Rx570s to three Rx580s already running in a rig.
Now one of the RX580s won't switch from graphics to compute workload - it appears to work but when Wattman restarts it still shows graphics and this card is slow in Claymore Dual Miner 10.2.
All the other cards are fine and this card switched properly to compute before adding the extra two cards.

Any ideas? This is a strange one.

I was looking to upgrade my other rigs from the Blockchain beta drivers but now I'm not sure I should.

Hello everybody,

i am pretty new to that - so hello everybody, but i have read really a lot to understand everything and now have setup my first rig with rx580 pulse 8GB cards.

Genereally they are working pretty well despite 2 facts which i am not pretty sure about. One is claymore related.

At some point it seems that one card is dropping it Mh/s to 0 - resulting in a hang process. Claymore miner then restarts this thread but it then hangs at POOL/SOLO version line when posted. Nothing is happening anymore. I need to restart the entire rig to get this solved.

Do you have any idea where this error comes from? I mean restarting the thread is great, but it doesnt work on my rig. (windows 10 x64 btw.)

Thank you so much,

This is a common problem when a card it pushed too hard (overclocked, dcri too high etc). Reduce settings until card is stable.

Someone can help me?
"CUDA error - Cannot allocate big bugger for DAG. check readme for possible solutions"

I don't have Nvidia, but as said it shuld be documented in the readme.txt. I suspect
- "Set Virtual Memory 16 GB."
- need 4GB VRAM

on AMD I would suspect missing environement variables (GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR ...)

Hey! I'm with a 12 card rig with 17.12.1 Driver. With fewer cards claymore can write the temperatures, but with all, no. Nor the MSI Afterburner works.
Did AMD changed their api again?

Mate, again, if you are mining Ubiq, use "-allcoins exp". It will mine Ubiq for devfee, same pool, same dag. I have tested myself in 3 different ubiq pools and the devfee works in all of them (dont use -allpools).

I didn't see your first post where you explain this, but I did I apologize upfront if this was covered in one of the previous 900+ pages in this thread.

Also, UBQ and EXP are different coins with different DAGs, so it seems weird that setting "-allcoins exp" would work when mining UBQ, but it does, so I'm not going to complain. Thanks for the help.

Edit: Last night I found the solution. I hadn't installed the proper [Suspicious link removed]pute driver from AMD (17.30). All cards are now running 28.5+ without overclocking.

First of all, love the program, so many thanks to the developer! Now on to the cry for help Smiley

To make it short, I've had a rig running two Gigabyte Gaming 8GB RX580's for a while now and I'm getting a stable 24.5 Mh/s out of each. I do mod the BIOSs using the One Click method on the current Polaris software, I've changed the VRAM to 16GB, and I try to overclock using MSI Afterburner a bit, though I feel like I'm not very good at it. Hash rate's not super hot, but for the moment I'm content.

I recently added on a Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB RX580, which I know some get 30+ Mh/s out of, hoping to get the same result as other posters. After much dinking around, modding the BIOS (both of them), switching BIOSs, and attempts at overclocking, I'm managing to get a measly 18.4 Mh/s out of the card (even mining with that card solo), which is extremely disappointing. So my question is: why is a verified bad ass card so much worse than my other cards, and what can I do to improve? All help is appreciated! Smiley

One thing I did not do is install any extra drivers after adding the Sapphire. I figured using the AMD drivers I already had for my previous 580's would suffice, but I may be entirely wrong.

My rig, in case it helps:
Windows 10 Home OS
Asus B250 Mining Expert MOBO
2x Gigabyte Gaming 8GB RX580s on PCIE x1 risers
1x Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB RX580 on PCIE x1 riser

Thanks!

In 1-3 days I will release new version with Adrenalin drivers support (fan/temperature/clocks management) and some other improvements.

Any update on this release? Looking forward to it!

Thank you for that. Lowered Ram speed now just a little and it seems to be stable.
Please let me ask a last question.
Is is normal, when those cards (all are the same type of 580rx pulse 8gb) are having different temperatures when running? i recognized that some cards need just 62% fan for running with 65°C - others need 75% fan.

Anything i should adjust here?

Thanks again,

Good news... I guess. What's the benefit of using latest adrenalin drivers? Are there any improvements?

I don't see any improvements, but some people want to use latest drivers anyway.

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

Thank you for that - that's good to know. I am still on blockchain beta drivers because those were the only drivers which were working with 1709 without issues.

cheers,

Please read my posts from the last 2-3 pages on this thread. If you are mining Ubiq, you need to set "-allcoins exp" parameter. Also, read the entire readme.txt file, it will help you a lot, more than any of us. Cheers.

You're welcome, im glad to help.

I know that EXP and UBQ are different coins, but if you think about "-allcoins exp" like just a simple parameter, and not about it has to compulsory mine EXP coin, you will be opening your mind. Expanse has a couple of years in in the ecosystem, Ubiq genesis block is less than a year old. It may be prolly that Claymore was aware of Expanse as a <2GB dag when he added that parameter. Cheers.

Well, for one the Adrenalin drivers are WHQL certified, so they should be more stable than the non-WHQL Crimson Relive 17.11.x drivers.
