Hey, I'm using claymore on win10 since few month and I notice sometime it stop detecting one of the GPU.
Do you know if there is a way to catch the number of GPU detected in order to restart computer ?
Restarting computer always fixed the problem.

Thanks in advance.

add -r and then add a reboot.bat file.  It will auto restart if failed card.

Make sure your reboot.bat file has the Windows reboot command in it.

shutdown /r /t 5 /f

shutdown /r /t 5 /f

Already had a reboot file but excecuted by windows each day but only with the /r.
My file looks like this now :

setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
EthDcrMiner64.exe -epool eu1-etc.ethermine.org:4444 -r 1 -ewal 0xbXXXXXXXXXXXX.MYCOMP -epsw x -ttli 85

The setx only needs to be run one time. They are static environment variables that survive reboots, updates, etc. No reason to have them in your start file once they are set.

Claymore,

is v 10.2 having issues with afterburner 4.4.2? I always get temperature control thread hangs, restarting miner. this issue does not happen when using afterburner 4.4.0. did you fix in v 10.3? I am also using blockchain drivers

had the same issue, reinstalled afterburner and problem stopped. But only had this issue on my AMD cards.

Anyone have any idea if the latest driver from AMD can be used?: Adrenalin Edition 17.12.2 Optional

anyone have temp and fan working in claymore 10.3?

i'm on AMD v 17.12.2, it's currently not showing anything.

If nothing is showing up thats driver issues.
I had the same issue and reinstalled my AMD drivers and afterburner after and they came back.

hi, By reinstalling do you mean remove complete including old config files and then do a fresh install? I am using blockchain drivers.

Any clues were i can find out what this error message means, and how it's caused?

GPU 0, GpuMiner cu_k1 failed 73, an illegal instruction was encountered
GPU 0, GpuMiner kx failed 1
GPU 0 failed
---

Earlier threads suggest OC-settings on cards, but i use Stock-settings, and still get this error.

It is due to power-loss, faulty gpu or other?

How can i find out what GpuMiner cu_k1 failed 73 actually stands for?

Using p106-100 cards, and running  GetPimp linux and Claymore 10.2

Hi
I have a weird problem
I have a card that is running hotter than the others in the RIG .. they all are Gigabyte RX 570 4GB gaming ...
so I modified the fan profile in mis afterburner in order to increase fan speed .. I made it when the temp is 73C fan speed to be around 85%
.. but this never happens .. claymore miner reports 73% fan speed while afterburner reports 85% fan speed .. why there is a difference
the problem occurs in 10.1, 10.2 and 10.3

I'd suggest to use builtin polaris fan/temps control. Do not use Claymore nor AB for temperatures control. The only thing needed is to set target GPU temp - the fans would be adjusted accordingly to keep this temp. I'm using overdriven tool now and earlier it was watttool - there's no reason to use anything else.

Hi all,
I am mining on V10.2 on 3 windows 10 PC (R9 380, RX-480 and RX-580) and in the same time I use the Intel I5 or I7 to mine XMR (monero or similar) and the CPU mining pays the electricity...
This morning, 2 out of my 3 PC did upgrade Windows 10 to the latest patch for spectre issue (I guess it is KB4056892), and my ETH/PASC combined mining went down to 0 on those 2 PCs.

Same behavior after PC restart, so I stopped XMR mining (XMRIG), and ETH/PASC combined mining went back to normal...

No more time to investigate (need to go to work).

Anyone else has that and has ideas to help ?

Edit: it's working when using one thread less than before (4 to 3 on i7 and 3 to 2 on i5, hashrate slightly reduced)

From FAQ:

- Miner freezes if I put cursor to its window in Windows 10 until any key is pressed. Sometimes miner freezes randomly until any key is pressed.
You should make some changes in Windows:
  https://superuser.com/questions/555160/windows-command-prompt-freezing-on-focus
  https://superuser.com/questions/419717/windows-command-prompt-freezing-randomly?rq=1
  https://superuser.com/questions/1051821/command-prompt-random-pause?rq=1

Please read Readme and FAQ in the first post of this thread before asking any questions, probably the answer is already there.

Hi!
I’m using ubuntu 16.04.3, AMD GPU Pro 17.40 driver and Radeon 290 card.

Is cclock working with this configuration? I tried 1100 and 1200 setting, but apparently it didn’t have any effect.
