Wall socket is an extension cord itself. You pay what your providers electricity meter shows.

Wattage keeps the same but you get a voltage drop depending on your wire size, distance, voltage and some other things. When voltage drops amperage goes higher, when amperage goes high enough circuit breaker cuts off, hopefully before something melts. PSU efficiency is better with higher voltage but I doubt if that has any meaning in this user case. I will try that tomorrow.

So for heavy use you want to have short and heavy cables, high voltage and good connectors.

I also have a corsair PSU with Corsair Link enabled, and it reports about 70W more consumption than my wattmeter. So, Corsair link ~ 900, wattmeter 820.

Which one should i trust?

I have the same question. Does the Corsair link give similar reading to the one from the wattmeter?

Indeed the PSU efficiency is pretty important you got some good PSU's on the market that are also very efficiently when you use them..

Right about that because if you do not have a good efficiency it will cost you a lot of watt, I think you always need a good one!
For normal users its already important but for miners even more!

i was thinking the same at you until i actually measured it with my wattmeter, and the wattage were almost the same, so the tool is definitely working

wattmeter it's not needed anymore, there are very precise tool nowadays, like the nvidia one and the corsair link, tollerance is only +-5% max

if you don't believe me just try it your self, use the nvidia tool, and then do the ultimate proof with the wattmeter

yeah 3800, i'm not mining etheruem, i don't like that i need to OC the mem so much, it may be a bad thing in the long term

last time i was able to do 100w 29MH, i posted it here few weeks ago

this is with the gpu attached to the monitor(not with the mining rig but the gaming one), 1440p so there is some instability, because i'm using the pc also for browsing and video, that's why you see 24MH as a lowest, but the average is definitely 29MH+

How does clocking the memory up damage it? Unless it pushes more voltage into the memory it shouldn't do anything. At least in regard to the GPU clock upping the clock rate has no change in voltage and assuming the memory is also just an offset, there is no voltage rise.

I got mine at +750 mhz and 50 power limit running smooth right now 30-31 mh/s

it actually damage them if you see artifact, there is without a doubt a limit for the memory oc, it's not like the core, where the drivers simply crash, i pushed it to 1000 and artifact and freeze showed up, and since then i had problem with some games

there is definitely a risk, i would not do it

The memory doesn't have temp sensors and with higher OC mining Ethereum on some 970s for example, I read close to 100°C with an IR gun while the GPU temps were around 60°C.

I also do not think this would work out good because of the switch over every time, I think its not smart and indeed not efficient at all.

That is pretty nice, I think this videocards can chance the world of mining for a bit because of the fact that they are so good and also not super expensive if you know what you can do with it.

Ok , so 195mh with 6 x1070 1700/4800 , only one card is at1700/4500 , tdp 65%-  gpu claymore miner 950w at the wall!
