How much does a GTX 1070 do in ethereum?

31.5 MH/s overclocked.

I think the 1070 is better for ZEC mining.

They are the king now. Very efficient.

I have 1060/1070/1080/1080ti... if you cut tdp to 80 you have the same performance per watt for all models. 3.5 ratio

1060 310 with 90w
1070 420 with 120w
1080 540 with 150w
1080ti 700 with 195w

Is that on the wall?

Yes. And more or less what you read on GPUZ.. different from AMD product where 80w in GPUZ will be 100 at the wall (pcie power consume)

i am buying myself 1070 (also thinking about 1060 becouse of the price, but i do not know which one to take.

the price varie from 390€ to 450€. i will buy 6 of them. I have no idea what are the difference, but i read, that mainly they perfom the same. IS this true?
I have 2 AMD rig, but no knowlidge about ndvidia.

https://www.mindfactory.de/Hardware/Grafikkarten+(VGA)/GeForce+GTX+fuer+Gaming/GTX+1070.html

i was looking at this store. What would be best buy?

thank you for any help

take the mini they perform well and have a much lower price the kfa2 or the inno3d from palit are very good brand they cost around 380 shipping included from amazon, 1060 take the 3gb version no need to waste money on the 6gb version, but it's better to wait for the refresh for this, which is going to happen soon

amazon.de ? i did not find it for that price. I am buying in europe,so one of the chepest store is mindfactory. I must dig to get better price, but for now, i found that one as a cheapest store.

Will be refresh also in 1070 or only 1060?  is 1060 3gb perfoming same as 10606 gb regarding mining ZEC?

I suggest EVGA SC or FTW.
3 years international warranty, very good service.

3 years international is very good. which one from the EVGA:

https://www.mindfactory.de/Hardware/Grafikkarten+(VGA)/GeForce+GTX+fuer+Gaming/GTX+1070.html/listing_sort/6/1/3373

SC black or SC aktiv? where is the diference, beside price (30€)

That is a good indication. But it should be at least 10% difference due to the PSU efficiency.

Hello,

I just started mining to test that thing.

I used for the pool give-me-coins (address is fine and found by bfgminer)
I used for the miner bfgminer (looks like the only option for gtx 1070)
I used as GUI awesome miner under win 10 (like it)
I used as a wallet bitcoin-qt (got my wallet address and encrypted and downloaded all transactions, pff, 260 GB)

Looks like everything runs fine.

Now, according the discussion, I should better mine other kind of coins for the gtx 1070 architecture.
When I have a look at the pool, I do not see the rerefences that were mentioned before (I only see those below:
LTC   BTC   FTC   NMC   VTC   PPC   PTC   uLTC   SYS   DOGE   VIA   UNO   DASH

Could I use one of those and keep the all software setup as described before?
Or shall I change the pool? Which one shall i use then?

Or shall I just stop and continue with BOINC projects (scientist research)
Thanks in advance!
Got 2 GTX 1070 and 1 GTX 1060 6GB

Note: Electricity comes from the sun (solar panels).

What else "currency" could I mine with GPU ?
Will there be supported by what I specified before ?

Hello, i want to start mining, tell me please
I already broke my brain Smiley) What to choose
2x 1070
or
3x 480/580 8gb
or
3x1060 6gb

What coin are you looking to mine?

you could go:

3x 480/580 8gb or 3x 470/570 8gb if you want to mine ETH or XMR

or 2x 1070 or 3x1060 6gb if you want to mine ZEC or LBC

also I would recommend making 6x gpu rigs as you will get more hash for your $.

Hello, thank you for answer!  I am searching  for the  most situable variant for now and near future to build 4-6 rig with time . I think that 1070 is more powerfull and effective, isnt't it ?

But if isn't no difference in  profit between 1070 and 580\480 ...
I will take more cheaper gp .

It depends on how expensive your power is.  Mine is rather expensive.

currently:

my 6x 1070 rigs mining ZEC generate $420 a month - elec costs each ( rigs cost ~$2500 each)

my 6x 1060 rigs mining ZEC generate $297 a month - elec costs each ( rigs cost ~$1900 each)

for AMD I only have one 4x 470 (all with custom roms) rig mining ETC (note ETC is abnormally high right now).  It generates $293 a month - elec costs ( rig cost $1150)

Hi, i have two rigs
first rig is 7 x 1070
second rig is 6 x rx470

with both of above i can mine about 10.3 ETH permonth.

looking at your comment if i switch to mine ZEC i will gain more on 1070 rig ?

At current rates you would be projected to generate $572 a month mining ZEC with optimal OC on 7x 1070s.

Edit: I just checked and for the first time in a very long time it looks like its actually more profitable to be mining ETH with 1070s.  But ZCL or HUSH still are better.

definitely not bad at all

GPU 0, GpuMiner cu_k02 failed 73 an illegal instruction was encountered

I'm running tests on a brand new EVGA GTX 1070 SC, alongside an ASUS GTX 970 Strix Both are OC's, but I get this message even running on normal setup. Driver is 382.05, OS is W7. I was mining with 2 x GTX 970, and never had this issue before.

Mind sharing your soft setup for each coin you have tried on your nvidias?  (perhaps sample of CMD /keys /pool) thanks

Thanks again, nice info, just got done with full thread.
p.p.s - both sample videos for some reason are not playing, page says loading forever...on chrome,ie,vivaldi

Thanks,

I don't think WTM is perfect, but it can be useful.  I tend to be contrarian with the WTM top 10.  If I had perfect attentiveness I would always mine the top 10 coin with the lowest relative diff; but most of the time I'm too lazy and just Leave my rigs on ZEC.  Eventually I will write a script or program to do this for me.

You should be able to download videos if they aren't playing via google.  I was just uploading an image so maybe they were limiting the IO on my account (so much for unlimited).

In nicehash, they do coin switching.

Yep, I'm currently doing some testing of different -dcri settings in Claymore miner with a 1070…

Code:
dcri  ETH       SC
32    29.2Mh/s  310MH/s
48    29.0Mh/s  465MH/s
56    28.7Mh/s  535MH/s
64    28.2MH/s  600MH/s

This isn't taking power consumption into account, just getting some baseline benchmarks
