I'm not sure about the number of people using bitcoin but the % of the world invested & using bitcoin is tiny. We need much more adoption to succeed & get bitcoin to where we need it to be.

We cannot determine the actual number of users using the bitcoins. If we count the total number of wallets to be the total number of users it will be wrong also because a single person is using multiple wallets together.

there is now way to determine the exact number of user but we can at least narrow it down by making a survey
try making its link known to btc sites that way we can have an idea on how many users are actually there, it may
not be the exact number but atleast we have a number on how many users are actively using btc rightnow.

We can't really count on the wallets which have a balance. Remember, there are a lot of abandoned coins floating around.

Also, some (if not most) people use more than one address.

Doing a survey wouldn't still be close because how many people do you think would even voluntarily answer the survey? I'm betting at most 30% of the community would do that. Not everyone has a good heart to answer the survey. Give incentives and they would just try to exploit the rewards.

i think no one know the actual number of bitcoin users. they must be in millions i think because bicoin is a universal currency and people are investing their money here. i personallyy know so many people who have invested their money in bitocin. i have heared that people of Pakisan China India Japaan Russina, Phillphine, USA Saudi Arabia even from all over the world are there involve in bitocoin.

I would say that 3 million users is a pretty good estimate, but I'm probably more curious as to how many people know about Bitcoin, to an extent where they know what it is and how it works, yet opt to not use Bitcoin or get involved with it. I would initially estimate for it to be somewhere around 10-20 million people, but I could easily be wrong and I don't have the information to back it up right now.

its will never have official release of number of people using bitcoin in this world,i think there only speculation if people mentioned about number. we already know that many bitcoin wallet can created by one people,its why so hard to calculate how many people use bitcoin.

Well, if we see the blockchain then almost 100 transactions are made in 1 minute or maybe more than 100.
Now supposing that 40 % people are new all the time or at least 10% then it can be said that yeah over 3 mill people for sure using btc and vastly growing.

The actual number of peopel using bitcoins are a big amount of people because there are allot of people who has bitcoins and when we reach the limit
of the amount of bitcoins it will be the end for the bitcoin. So make sure you sell them all before that time.

I guess more than 5 crore people are using bitcoins. Because if you see population in countries and the popularity % in each country then something similar will be in front of us.

no one knows or can know but they are a lot you can get an idea by checking out the traffic rank of blockchain wallet website or coinbase and also this forum traffic rank which is quit good which mean a lot of people using it no dought about it

I think no one can exactly know the actual number of bitcoin use. a large number of people are entering in the world of bitcon. and its popularity is increasing day by day. people are entering in the world of bitcoin rapidly. specially in present time people are hopping that after halving the price of bitcoin will increase so they are investing their bitcoin here in a great number.

That is a very small number my friend, I think at least 200k accounts are at primedice itself ( just assuming ) and I think not even 25% people gamble with bitcoins, so you know what I am saying

Its really difficult to know what what is  the exact number of active users in bitcoin, as it seems to be impossible to calculate, but one this is sure that users are increasing day by day.

I think its hard to know how.many people are using bitcoin cause many bitcoin user are using bitcoin anonymously.  Even my sister is using bitcoin.before and i didnt know it

Everyone has their own definition of what they consider to be active. For me active means that people are at least using Bitcoin to send/receive transactions twice a month. No one can say for sure how many users there are. I will remain a mystery for ever.
