Is there a way to determine the number of people who are actually using Bitcoin till date? Who would have access to such information? Meaning a way to find out, how many new people have used Bitcoin in 2016 , so that we can say exponential growth is natural not artificially created by hoarders.
Its very hard to determine the actual count users of bitcoin. Especially this 2016 there's a million I think that entered in bitcoin world in crypto currency, Aside from that more investors also came a part of bitcoin enthusiast too. |

Not sure how would you count the actual number of people using Bitcoin. It will be stupid and funny if you conduct a census and ask each people in the house if they are using Bitcoins. Even the current number of wallets registered in Blockchain wouldn't be reliable because some people create plenty of wallets.

In the world surely countless users are using btc, like those who make different investments, and also the people who enjoy using it, because of the easy way that transactions can be done with it.
You are right, many people are using it for their own reasons not just for investment. currently, its hard to know how many users actually are using bitcoin but im pretty sure everyday its growing worldwide. |

You are right, many people are using it for their own reasons not just for investment. currently, its hard to know how many users actually are using bitcoin but im pretty sure everyday its growing worldwide. No one can calculate the exact percentage of people using it, but one thing is sure that the users are increasing continuously and that will make bitcoin more stronger currency in future. |

It is a prediction that, to be accomplished with satisfactory results, would require a lot of research.
In my opinion, if the less active users are included, this number could be higher than four hundred thousand.
I think certainly bitcoin users would be more than 400k., even if you look at the total users in this forum alone is more than 600K users. certainly out there are more users this forum having a certain amount of registered accounts, doesn't mean it has also that many people using this forum. there are so many accounts that are created for farming purposes, throw away purposes, shill accounts, and the list goes on. it shouldn't be seen as any kind of indication. |

I think there is actually more than 1M people using Bitcoin, and the number is growing up daily, because the price increased the last weeks and its expected that it will increase more soon

I'm also confused by it but something is for sure that the user will always grow every day That is the problem because of anonymity of bitcoin we can not easily know how many users in bitcoin are active or not or how much the actual number maybe other people can analyzed by checking coinmarket volume and for the price of bitcoin they can calculate how much percentage but not exact percentage of the amount of actual number of people using bitcoin.. |

I was thinking the same. You cannot base it from the users in this forum. I think we should not be looking for the number of users but in the volume of transactions. If there are more transactions happening, then there are more users. It can be a good base to see if the growth is real. But to find out the exact numbers of actual users, it is quite hard to do. |

If anyone has a method to get that, please tell me :-) It'd be a hell of a job to figure out how many people are using bitcoin because the bitcoin transactions are anonym. However, you could have a rough guess from the number of people who're active in the bitcoin forums.

We can't get the exact numbers of bitcoin user. But we can assume that its about millions of people around the world used bitcoin. Bitcoin has a great opportunity to everyone who are willing to work on it. So bitcoin users are countless.

It will be harder and harder eventually to try to guess what's going on in the bitcoin world in terms of how much people are actively using Bitcoin. We will never know, it's as simple as that. And I say it will be getting harder not only because it will keep growing in number, but because further advancements in anonymous technology for Bitcoin will make it even harder to guess.
