What is the recommended Chip temp for S9?
Im currently running between 85-91C.

under 95 c  is okay

over 100 c is not so good.


in-between 95c - 100c   is unit to unit.

based on  use of 20 units from  June 2016 until now.


also room temps   can be cold  10c  or warm  35c

and inbetween.

why bitmain S9 latest batch shipped ups show only 1kg instead of 5kg each???
Jihanese sending cucumber instaed of antminer or what it is last S9 batch have to batch dec 1-10 is 5kg each and December 20-30 whic they shipping early showing 5kg??

yes but diffrent date for psu and psu was 2kg

I ordered 2 PSU and 2 S9's - Notification said PSU's shipped at 1kg each, but for some reason 2 boxes shipped. Are they sending each PSU separate or could one box actually be my S9's?

each psu is 2kg each S9 box 5kg and ships separately
i dont know wtf 1kg is hope it is typo or jihan is dumping all coins and goin to mexico /:P

It's been said many times, bitmain doesn't have distributors, you need to buy directly from them. Buy anywhere else and you're going to pay a fortune in the best case, or get scammed and lose your money.

For me i think its useless.. better to make your own noise reduction Box that mostly made by other miners its more working than the silencer that i think only helps reduces hot air flow temperature..

Well my 1st delivery comes tomorrow, supposed to be just the 2 PSU's, but 2 packages which makes no sense. I will see if its cucumber or electronics soon

Yeah, shipping is messed up. mine took 6 days to reach DHL after I received the shipping notification. AWBs were also mixed up, weight is not correct. until now I haven't received the PSUs also some of them haven't reached DHL yet.

I think it's funny that they name this thing "Antminer airflow noise reducer." This is just a duct muffler that's made for the hydroponics industry. This particular one is made for a 4in duct which may be a little bit undersized for any real performance. You may be better off getting a 6 inch or 8 inch duct reducer to connect to the 4in ducts on the antminer and then use a 6 or 8 inch muffler. Of course for maximum silence, you would need to build a wooden box around antminer and also use insulated flexible duct. Then you should be able to get the noise level down to next to nothing.the Hydroponics industry has been doing this for decades. They have had to utilize massive fans to cool the extremely hot metal halide or high pressure sodium lights that they use and do so in an extremely quiet way so as not to raise suspension of law enforcement.
