Hi,
I've been watching and interacting with bitoins about a month now. Lost some money on the market, but I still think it's a nice new currency.

Hi all, I've had an interest in currency systems for several years now and a casual interest in bitcoin for several months. The MtGox hack really got my attention, so I'm here to learn as much about btc, virtual currencies, and virtual currency exchanges as possible. My new hobby.

I am Tony F of the CottonFog Farm. I support bitcoin because I am thoroughly awake to the fact that my freedom has been trampled by outside forces that benefit greatly from having a monopoly on a debt based currency. I want to own some bitcoin. I currently have silver bullion and livestock that I will sell for bitcoin. Face to face in central florida or silver via mail. I have spent all weekend learning about bitcoin and I am certain that I would like to own some as well as mine for them. My computer is only producing 4.5/mhs using a gui CLminer. I want to buy a decent dedicated mining rig but only have silver bullion and dollars (mostly silver - i need the dollars to pay my bills) to spend at the moment. i looked into buying bitcoin via exchange but talk about a hassle. That is just sooooo much trouble. Id rather just buy a machine and let it run and let it pay for itself via pool mining. I have been mining for almost 24 hrs at the moment and have only earned 3/10 of a single penny at a price of $15/BTC. If I could average 2/ week I would be happy if the machine cost about $500. I have been a contributing member of Economic Fundamentals google group for about 3 years and on youtube a bit longer. www.youtube.com/tonyfareseI first heard about bitcoin from Max Keiser. Then i read a crappy article in Bloomberg Business Week. Then a youtube channel I subscribe to (DonHarrold) put out a video bad mouthing bitcoin yesterday. I get news from various sources so I do my own research. Don has been loosing credability lately. Either way, I do not agree with his views and I am here to do the things I mentioned above. If anyone is in central florida (deland area) and can help me out w/ a mining rig or wants to buy siver w/ bitcoin or fresh Berkshire pork or live hogs or milk goats I would like some bitcoin. Fresh goat milk or free range chicken eggs. Thanks for reading my intro.

Just saying hello-- I'm interested in BitCoin because of Snow Crash, the same as most other people. I've been mining for a while, but haven't bothered to post to the forums yet, clearly a mistake.

Just saying hi
Been quietly following the bitcoin for a while and grimacing (was contemplating buying it when it was 1:1 w/ USD not so long ago). Decided time to take the plunge! But it';s more complicated than anticipated, so joining this forum to hopefully get some help from the community.

I love bitcoin because it's so complicated at first sight That's why I'm here. Stumbled across Bitcoin on some website. Got thoroughly confused. Life was boring. It needed some confusion. Confusing things tend to be more useful in the end. And if they're not, at least they're fun.

Infatuated with Bitcoin's ingenious, elegant design. Love the lessons I've been learning about trading, trust, and community. Brainstorming some possible ways to contribute; thinking of an escrow service that slowly trickles BTC at a set rate from one account to another, to spread out risk in a low-trust ongoing-service relationship (let me know if that sounds interesting to you).

please do so! and get some posts don't be so negative, the 50-post-rule is there for a reason: to get rid of the trolls. NOT to piss newcomers off. relax take it easy and smile. So am I understanding this correctly? A new registered account has to have 50 posts before being able to post/reply to threads in other areas of the forum? This is to help cut down on spam and such? Seems awfully counter-intuitive seeing as I've been a member of other forums for years without even achieving that many posts. It sure seems like your trying to encourage spam posts such as: I'm Batman.
I'm Batman.
Can you use that big spotlight you have to shine a giant bitcoin symbol? Actually I been thinking about spotlighting my sack. Nothing like a big ass Teabag in the sky.
Since I'm sure there are no Gotham residents here, for a small fee I will take a pic of my wall showing a teabag of a flashlight

LMAO. No offense to those quoted, they were just the first few from this thread. That aside, I've acquired two rigs with 2x HD 5770's and am looking forward to mining.
