This might be a little slower than the rx480 if it is underclocked to match the rx470 memory speed. According to that post it says, "21 MHS for the 7 GHz models." If a rx480 is underclocked to the same 7 ghz, it will get about 24 MHS. So it comes down to what the power usage will be for the rx470 and price difference. |

I noticed that two cards are now listed here in my country: The none reference cards seem to be quite expensive. Sapphire Radeon RX 470 Nitro+ OC 2xHDMI 2xDP 4GB around 335USD Sapphire Radeon RX 470 Nitro+ OC 2xHDMI 2xDP 8GB around 365USD They cost more then a reference 480. No reference 470 listed here yet, i guess that card will be the possible sweet spot regarding performance/price. |

Yeah even though they hash great compared to power, they are way way overpriced.
Kind of like buying an Antminer S9. Very efficient but very expensive and long ROI.

What?? My RX 480 does 24.5 at around 90-100W.. a properly tuned RX 470 should do 21-22 at around 70-80W. |

$200 is only for reference, and we won't see it in huge amounts because it's a locked 8GB version. True aftermarket 4GB RX 480 will cost $220-230. The pricing for RX 470 is ridiculous now, the logic of sellers must be "it's as fast as RX 480 so it will cost the same". |

The standard out of the box clock rates are doing good at least with TDP not exceeding the basic limits of the 6 pin and PCIe |

If the BIOS is locked and we cannot overclock the memory frequency to 2000 MHz or higher, it is not a ideal card.

Do we have any follow up numbers for ETH hash rates and power consumption? How does this card stack up with the RX480 and the GTX1060?
