I think this is not very wise, you could buy gbyte with all your btc and you would have a better ratio in the aidrop, since 5 gbyte = 1 gbyte...
that's a really, really, really not wise idea.

better to stay diverse.
Many altcoins double in a few days, but it's always a gamble.
If I look at the previous Byteball airdrops, the price drops about the same as the 20% you gain. Last month buying a few days after the airdrop and selling a few days before the airdrop would have been good. But: many people anticipate that too, so it's likely you'll compete with many people who want the same profit.

Price starts to surge as usual, the next round of distribution is getting closer... Smiley

Fully agree with you that it will remain stable till the next round is done and then whales or people will fat wallets will dump over us. It is routine now and I am getting used to it. If everyone just keep putting apart small portion of his free coins it will be helpful for market to stabilize and provide solid floor but they need quick profits.

if you make a tonne of gb in lend then sell it all you give them 0.05 and have no gb for further rounds. if you get no more you owe no more. sounds scammy. id rather hold my own and get 0.2 each round compounded. you're making it sound good but its not.

Such a great hacker wow, much amazed.
Could someone upload and share his fully-synced DB files (if this doesn't leak sensitive info)?
Nice try scammer.

My byteball holdings will surpass my bitcoin holdings in terms of fiat value after the coming airdrop. And I didn't buy any GB. All bytes I posses I received just by linking btc. This is incredible.

Wow. Do you think it'll be possible to earn a "significant" number of bytes during this airdrop with a bitcoin balance of < 1BTC?  Grin
Unfortunately not. The crucial part was the first distribution round where the GB/BTC ratio of the distribution was the largest. If you think about investing small amount of money in byteball linking doesn't make sense as preceding talker explained. Buying GB gives you a better return because of the 0.2 distribution ratio.

Additionally my calculations regarding potential GB price rise are as follows:

1 GB = approx. 16.5 BTC when (and if) byteball achieves parity with bitcoin in terms of market cap.
Current price is 0.38 BTC which makes it a potential 43 times return on investment (4300%).

If you invest 0.01 BTC now by buying GB (linking doesn't make much sense with such small amount) you have a chance to earn 0.043 BTC ($1000). Not much actually and it all depends on the big 'if" byteball achieves parity with bitcoin. Nevertheless 0.01 BTC is just $25 therefore you can't expect any significant amount gained on such a small investment in any field actually. A $1000 investment is a starter to me in any field. A $1000 dollar investment would potentially give you $43,000 when the big "if" happens.
Clap clap.

Also, instead of seeing this as an investment, you can also improve Byteball and contribute to community. This is not a Foundation-run or venture-capital, or ICO-money-raised project, its us, as the motto said in beginning "for the rest of us", who have to use it, study, improve and share.

What you can do; anything from marketing, to developing, or write documentation for others, find new use-cases.

Remember to give a few hundred mega-bytes or even gigabytes to your friends, show them Byteball.

Currency is like sex, when you give it you receive it too.

Nice try scammer.

What is the purpose of this alleged scam?

Your problems are classic PEBKAC (Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair).

I lean towards thinking that the problem is in inefficient implementation of Byteball headless software. Is anyone working on an alternative software or on something without extensive usage of SQL at least?

PS: I'd like to point to this:
4. I looked into the source code and spotted some places which may lead to performance degradation on machines of other users (btw, why is SQL so heavily used?).

Alright, I've started syncing from scratch. SatoNatomato, you have to wait until I sync, sorry about that.

A tiny wish-list if one of the devs gets spare time for that:
1. Ability to run the DB solely in memory. Dedicated servers with 32 GB can do it easily and reliably. In a case of a blackout the servers can resync again, several dead nodes can't affect the network.
2. Ability to use some other DB engine. If it was easy to use MySQL, I would run it with in-mem DB right away (see previous point).
3. Indexed SQL views for data denormalization might speed-up everything considerably. If previous point is implemented then MS SQL Server 2016 will allow to get the boost with minimal code refactoring.

This is scheduled for the full moon of July 9, 2017 at 04:07 UTC so you still have a lot of time to attach your wallet address to this coin and turn it into money making machine without doing any hard work.

it's precisely the opposite..i not interest of sell my part if i want participat at other round..in more i accept escrow so i will just receive my part and paid interest for each round at lenders.

You are full of shit as always.

1. Many people have already run "the entire DB" from memory, a colleague is running a hub from memory only without ever even touching the SSDs. Of course, for you CfB, doing this is out of your league.

2. MariaDB has been used by at least 2 other people.

3. So you havent even looked at which indexes already exist, to offer any meaningful advice than "ah you use SQL, have you tried denormalizing it".

Hey, iota man your currency marketing is targeting IoT - have you tried putting it on an IoT device? Oh no. You havent. You thought a raspberry pi was an IoT device. You didnt even know Proof-of-Work in an IoT coin is oxymoronic at best, complete retardation otherwise.
