Version 1.9.2 released https://github.com/byteball/byteball/releases

This is mainly a bugfix release.
* Fixed two issues that caused full clients to crash while syncing in some circumstances (one of them was reported in this thread multiple times)
* Fixed restore from seed that was broken in 1.9.1
* Fixed restore from full backup that stopped working when the database exceeded 4 Gb
* Added warnings about cloning wallets
* Added welcome instructions
* Improved translations

Great job! Thank you tonych

this one ain't opening for me. it's telling me there's a permission problem and it's tripped my anti virus for the first time.

The Bitcoin software, network, and concept is called "Bitcoin" with a capitalized "B". Bitcoin currency units are called "bitcoins" with a lowercase "b" -- this is often abbreviated BTC.

how about since next round  we have 30% to byteball holder?

it's more fair to byteball holder, seems a lot exchange address have linked with byteball..

that free byteball will drive the price went down. Smiley
Its more important to make less amount for bitcoin wallets.

its pointless now. original btc holders got a chunk of gb which gets compounded with 20% as bytes. coins needed to be marked somehow to show which were generated from btc and which from bytes.

if tony wants more new bytes in new hands he'll have to get creative. id honestly recommend after this round he halts or reduces it to like 1% to allow byteball to grow in use. the coins great but its getting a name for being airdrop free cash and once airdrops are over if it doesnt have a big use through services it'll work against it. its going to fast unnatural even. it needs to slow down and mature. of course the majority of you will disagree because you just want free coins to turn into bitcoin. am i right?

Im with this statement....

Byteball is known for airdiops and nothing more.

If this wont change we will see slow death after each airdops.

Byteball is known for airdrops and nothing more ? BB has tonych, who is one of the best devs in crypto, ( I'd say best because I never seen anyone work as hard/fast/good but obviously I can't know them all ) also you can't show me any other coin that works this fast and has so many features coming out every month since it started. Most people who just come for free coins and dump they have no idea about the quality of this coin, those who were here from the beginning, know this is the shit.

Typical ICO: "We're 5 guys, if you give us 50 million bucks, we give you *insert random promise*"

Tony: "Here's a complete working product with many features. I give you free money"

Easy choice  Cheesy

This really does sum it up perfectly!

I do not understand all the money flowing into so many ICOs.  This is the way to get broad distribution and support.

Im glad you remembered that.

If you accepted that bet, which I assume you did, as you do make the en-devour, and remember it.
You should pay 15BTC to me now.

That was from May 17. Almost 2 months ago, which means, you have not fulfilled your threats from then.

I remember back then, in May, you said it would happen "next week".

My btc address is, 1GBYTEK91S4tStbRSJppEeMLwMHn2LkHdm . Thank you!

edit: of course, if you want to weasel out of it, just ignore this request, 15BTC is quite a lot of money. And I have my own anyway, I pasted my btc address just in case you have honor.

I expected you would try to distract us by nonsense claims, it's your typical strategy. I prefer to do it my way: first I'll spend several GBs on fees to test Byteball behavior, then I'll ask you to compress the DB, finally I'll start harassing you reminding those words about 15 BTC threatening to accept the bet (which clearly doesn't have the end date).
You lost already, but as expected you weasel out of bet. The events were clear, you claimed to do something like "spend GB of fees to increase database and make it incompressible" blah blah, I said I bet you 15BTC you wont, you said "next week bro" and here we are 2 months later nothing happened.

Besides, transactions are compressing well which anyone can verify today by compressing the database - and noticing the size saved. The transactions are compressing well because the database is not optimized for size, there exists many copies of fields in tables everywhere. It is like everything else optimized for correctness.

Now what, I dont expect you to pay 15BTC because you dont have honor as expected, and that is a lot of bitcoins which you probably dont even have as you spend it on cocaine. You must have used some drugs to work on an "iot" coin for 2 years without knowing what an IoT-device is actually, remember "IoT devices I've seen worked at 20% of my home PC speed", a Raspberry PI is not an IoT device my little retarded padawan. (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1216479.msg17694242#msg17694242) .  Cheesy

Why are you even doing anything with this "hurr durr lets attack byteball with many transactions and size" if you think there is no bet?

Why do you claim I had a bet with you?

Because you claimed that DB could be compressed with a good ratio, I'm going to check that in practice.

Where did I claim that?

Lets make this simpler.

1) When your full node is synced, check and note its size. Then compress it with bzip2. Check and note size.
2) If the compressed size is smaller than uncompressed size, at least 30%, I win a bet.
3) if the compressed size is or less than 30%, ie only 5% smaller, you win the bet.
4) This test and bet is valid until 20th July.

The bet amount is 15BTC. Now then, iota coin creator, can you walk the talk?

One thing at a time, let's sort out this one first:

Where can I find information about the next distribution of tokens?

http://byteball.org

people are gettin lazy these days.

there seem to be less byteall linked. people are really selling their btc it seems. I am buying btc and expecting btc to go to 1300 usd

and what is the goal of this (i.e. buy over $2000 and goto $1300)?..

That seems unreasonable. While many can talk the talk, fewer can walk the walk, but nobody has yet proven themselves capable of walking the talk.

No such talk walking was part of the terms and conditions of the original bet.

Also, could you two please take this childish argument somewhere else? Everyone here is sick of you trashing this thread.
