This coin needs some serious PR... It's a shame it's drowning in a sea of FUD. and why are the largest investors silent? I don’t get it.

Zcoin is not just a fork of Zcash, it's based on a different protocol, the "original version" basically: Zerocoin vs. Zerocash. In essence, Zerocash buys smaller proof sizes with great amounts of compute time (something like 30 seconds to make a private transaction on a current high-end machine), while Zerocoin requires more space for transactions in the blockchain and takes longer to verify them. And Zerocash hides transaction amounts, which is of course nice for privacy, but then again it also theoretically allows an attacker to remain undetected while generating as much zcash as he likes via a 0-day exploit. In Zerocoin, amounts are public. Also ZCoin uses the RSA-2048 number for its crypto setup, which is nice because it means the developers are in no privileged position – everybody and their mother have been trying to factor that number for decades, without success (and success remains unlikely for decades or centuries). |

Devs, I've got a great idea for you... You need to lower reward from 20% down to 2%. That would be fair as well. There are other Zcash forks on its way with no donation. You simply won't survive with the reward which I consider a blatant robbery.
