i'm waiting the new FIJI , lol VEGA gpus next year, when ZEC pumping
AMD will need to pump ZEC heavily to sell a lot of those expensive Vegas ))

Hopefully the 1TB/s HBM2 can be properly taken advantage of.

rx 480 8g gets 170 h/s with v.7. However, power usage have risen from 130 to 150 watt from the wall.

Yup. The hash per watt is quite bad at that rates. I've got rid of the high h/s as its not profitable.
I'm now pulling 118 watts at the wall for 155 h/s.

Don't bother. It uses far too much power.

110W in GPU-Z, so probably 180W at the wall. I haven't measured it, and honestly I don't care cause I have free electricity. I would underclock and undervolt otherwise, but I doubt the card would pull 166 sols.

The card most certainly does > 165 sols/s with 1400 GPU speed. Tested on all 5 of my cards and they all hit those figures.

I use Windows 10 and i see no GPU temps in Claymore Miner, i have installed the latest AMD APP SDK and downloaded the latest AMD ADL SDK, but where i must copy the AMD ADL files? to show the GPU temps in Claymores Miner  Huh

i have search here in the forum but nothing found!

Hi ByteKingz! i have the same problem. i mine with 2 RX 480 8GB. on Windows 10 with latest drivers and SDK installed. tried everything, but with no good chance to monitor temperature. All other programs show only fan speed and can't overclock it (GPUZ, MSI Afterburner). I think the problem because of headless mining. I have no monitor plugged on GPUs, only connected to internal motherboard VGA. I don't have HDMI or DVI-D monitor yet.

Thats easy just set the mobo to auto or use pcie graphics

reboot

You will have full control gpus now, but the window will be a small 640x480 window with no monitor attached.

Hi Tmdz, i tried with PCI-E Graphics set on MB BIOS, but i have connected VGA monitor to internal, and nothing changed, except i don't see motherboard logo screen at startup. On windows i can't see the temps and overclock, it says to connect the monitor. =(

What I meant is that if you underclock and undervolt the core, the card won't pull 166 sols.

There isn't much room for undervolting if you want to run it at 1350 core engine clock, you might even have to overvolt to get it stable at that speed.

Right now just mine ETH+SIA and you will make slightly more then ZEC.

sapphire nitro+ rx 480 4gb  1325/1900 modded bios 173-176 h/s  GPU-Z  83 W, on wattmeter 120 W
sapphire nitro+ rx 470 8gb 1300/2050 modded bios 162-165 h/s  GPU-Z  88 W,  on wattmeter 130 W

**I got the number on wattmeter from = system power consumption when mining - system power consumption when not mining.

Can anybody with good knowledge here give his professional opinion on the difference between the number reported by GPU-Z and wattmeter? & where this difference come from?

GPU-Z is for the Core only and does not include the PCB etc.  Secondly to properly measure the Power at the wall using a wattmeter you need to mine with 1 card and take a reading and then mine with 2 cards and take a reading.  That is the most acurate way to measure it.

If you measure the system at rest and then mining with 1 GPU it is not as accurate as the mobo, CPU, RAM etc use more electricity when mining then at rest.  It is a small number but it is still a difference.

Do you think your CPU/RAM/Board needs no power? The value on GPU-Z is the pure GPU power running through the PCIe-slot

Dual mining ETH+SIA heats up the GPUs much much more than ZEC, which makes the 470 too noisy for an office.
Plus my 295x2 will probably start throttling if I dual mine it since the temp limit is fixed at 75C.

Of course I know my system (cpu/RAM/motherboard etc) needs power.. the system when not mining consume about 110 watt.. when start mining using one card for example with rx 480 card the whole power consumption become around 230 watts.. when using the 470 it becomes 240 watts.. when using both card it goes about 360s watts.. So do you mean when the GPU running, it draws  power DIRECTLY from PSU as reported in GPU-Z and at the same time it also draw power more from the system (cpu/ram/board) as you say?
