Dear Claymore ,

nice development.

My HD8670M (Notebook 2Gb) has been moved from 3,9 H/s to 8,4 H/s in the newest version
and the Notebook takes the same power from the wall !!

Is there any possibility to get your Miner running on a 1GB AMD Card ?

My old rig ( 6 * 7790 1GB) is waiting for it desperatly Grin

From the specification the HD7790 should have four times the speed of my embedded AMD Card
At the moment i can only use the nheqminer 0.4b that brings me 32 H/s (for all 6 card together)

With your miner it should be 210 H/s.....

Would be very nice

Please keep on going..............

Edit was here fo typos

Version 1 works on 1GB cards.  Of course it will be a lot slower though....  Not sure about other versions.  You may also try Windows ports of SilentArmy, I don't know their memory usages.  Still would be slower than Claymore.

They're ok reckon around 120-140H/s with latest Claymore release. ROI at this speed based on current NiceHash BTC rate is around 180 days or half a year after electricity costs. Obviously very dependent on the ZEC/BTC ratio holding up for that long.

Hey Claymore, how are you?

Buddy have you evaluated the possibility of dual mining for zcash?

Have a great day guys.

The ZCash mining needs both core computation and the memory bandwidth. So it might not be a good idea to do dual mining.

yeah... but currently the gpu mem utilization in on ~52% on rx470

Hello, can anyone recommend me a bios for RX480 nitro 4GB with Hynix memory?
I've already tried mods for 1750 and 2000 straps but I can get more than 137 Sol/s..

I use sapphire nitro+ RX480 4gb hynix memory..
I edit the bios (silence mode) using polaris bios editor like this:

copied 1500 timings to 1750 & 2000, 1425 to 1625, 1375 to 1425 & 1500..
change the memory setting from 1750 to 1900..

then flashed it with atiwinflash.. reboot..

Now running claymore v6.0 with -i 4 setting.. getting about 153-155 h/s... the average gpu draw power showed in GPU-Z 86.3 W... now still trying to lower GPU voltage using sapphire Trixxx to lower the power usage further... still stable so far...

Thank you pal! Using these straps I reached 145/147h/s at 1200/1900mhz with  claymore v6. Then i undervolted the card to 0.99mv with avg power draw 77w. Less vddc is possible but it will freeze when i close the miner.

I love Claymore's v6.0

7 MSI RX470s: 985 H/s
955 Watts at the wall
68 ave Watts (MSI Afterburner)
57C ave GPU Temp (MSI Afterburner)
47C CPU Temp
1500 Strap
MSI Afterburner settings: 1950 Memory Clock, 1150 Core Clock
thats high wattage u need to undervolt

Just Redid my settings and came out better:

1015 H/s
7 MSI RX470s
968 Watts at the wall
68 ave Watts (MSI Afterburner)
57C ave GPU Temp (MSI Afterburner)
49C CPU Temp
1500 Strap
MSI Afterburner settings: 1950 Memory Clock, 1200 Core Clock

My main goal is profitability = W/Hs (less is better)
Previously I was at .97 W/Hs
I am now at .95 W/Hs

To Undervolt I would loose efficiency and hashrate.  I also get more Hs and no Errors/Rejects!  Very Stable as well.

I'm getting the same hash with 1270 core 1750 mem. You don't need to increase mem that much (well, at least for now where claymore rather released with higher intensities). Have a look at it.

Cool!  Mine are all 4gb.  I am using 1200 core 1950 mem.  Very interesting!  I am wondering the differences?

Mine are all 4gb too. Basically, latest miners (claymore v5, v6, optiminer) seems to be hungry for the computing, probably because of the competetion software developers are rather taking the fastest way and push the system limits to increase the speed in a day or so. can someone take a look at the stock bios and tell me what I am missing to strap the memory timings? I have tried searching for the timing groups. first one is XFX R9 380 2Gb and 2nd is MSI R9 380 4Gb

Can someone please explain to me how to set the environment variables. Do i set it computer wide, or is it code for when I start the miner?

I want to make sure I have the instructions below set correctly.

Catalyst (Crimson) 15.12 is required for best performance and compatibility. You can get very bad results for different drivers version, or miner can fail on startup.
Set the following environment variables, especially if you have 2GB cards:

GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

The newest crimson drivers. 15.12 only works with older cards.

Why is devfee finding so much more shares so much faster?
Because of a different pool? I'm mining on suprnova

When you switch pools, difficulty starts off low and then ramps up.
Switch to mining at flypool and you'll probably get considerably better returns.

why is flypool so much better
