Network Hashrate increase = lower profit for miners???
Let's see if ZEC recovers but it's trending down. Where did you get these graphs ? Really thinking to switch to ETH

nerdralph over in the silent army thread thinks it may be possible to get about 300 sols from the 470.
this is what they actually said: -
"The algorithm, i.e. 8 rounds of bin sorts to find collisions on 20 bits followed by a final 40-bit collision search, has not been optimized. I've already explained the optimizations that could be done in OpenCL which would take ~5 million core clocks per round. That would push the performance up to ~200 on a Rx 470 clocked at 1250/1750. With GCN assembler I believe I can get that down to ~3 million core clocks per round, with performance of over 300 sols/s on a Rx 470."
They are looking at implementing this in a closed source miner with a 1-2% fee.
Can you imagine getting those speeds from a 470? wonder if a 480 would get even better h/s?

that would be like 2x the speed what we now get!

for me Zec is still certainly the most profitable according to coinwarz.com.

guys have some questions that bothers me...
just added in my rig today an HD 8990, to another 3x R9 390 gigabite 8 gb, with a Ewga supernova 1300w G2 PSU... The consuption is 1327w at wall...
Also have an Therma Take Though power 1200w PSU which is running at 1130w at wall....
where is the limit of the PSU consuption in long term? Any experience/advice?
Just dont wanna burn them in short time...
Many thanks for any advice and help....
Take the 1130w at wall, and figure out what it is outputting by multiplying by efficiency (can estimate based on 80+ level, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/80_Plus). Some say to not go over 80% load for 24/7, others say you can go higher if it is a quality PSU. Stability may be better not at high load, but depends on quality of PSU also. Look up Johny GURU review of your PSU. Or perhaps look here http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.htmlguys have some questions that bothers me...

Most PSUs achieve maximum efficiency around 50% load. The cost of doubling your power requirement usually washes any profits from extra efficiency though. For longevity you should aim to load them around 80% (or less if you want the gains in efficiency). Many thanks for you replyies... will think about it, and adjust the consuption....

Yup, I've switched to nicehash 24 hours ago and making far better returns (for now).

But where are those graphs from ? Its interesting to see it in past period.

pls teach me...
Many thanks for any advice and help....
just wanted to ask how are you measuring power usage in watts ?

just wanted to ask how are you measuring power usage in watts ? You can use a wattage meter. one example http://www.p3international.com/products/p4400.htmlhttps://www.amazon.co.uk/P3-P4400-Electricity-Usage-Monitor/dp/B00009MDBU

I just tried nicehash for mining zec using 3rd party miners (claymores) but it only mines on intensity 4 ? I went into the 3rd part config and attempted to set it to -i 6 But when I restarted it still mines on 4?

Really thinking to switch to ETH
Check http://whattomine.com/ and you'll see you shouldn't switch, at least not yet All depends what GPU you have (RX480's):
