Is it me the only one who is getting a lot of connection failed retry to connect in 20 sec?
All my miners started doing this, and my pool stats show 30% less hashrate like this.
Version 9/9.1 isn't worth the hassle if your rigs were working fine and are now playing up, even if you get a lesser fee then Version 8 stick to being stable and hashing stable. The newer versions seem nuked to me...

it seems that the new drivers do not get along with tabs 470/480 mod
with 390x when I start the miner, it begins to shake the screen and turning off the monitor, and the miner goes off, 2x 390x claymore 9.1 16.12.1 drivers -i 7
one of them is creating this problem

NOT always, as I 've already documented in my testing on a single-card HD 7870 rig running at max UNDERCLOCK on a Seasonic X-1250. Might help in some cases where the rig was right at the margins for stability, but it does NOT help in all cases.

Hmmm, yes, a 16 GB swap file, but only 2 GB of 800 MHz RAM for a 64-bit OS on the two boxes that are giving me trouble. The third and similar box which worked fine (with the exception having 3 PCIe slots but not taking a third GPU) has 4 GB of 1333 MHz RAM so you might be on to something. Should Claymore need more than 2 GB and do 8 GB cards require more than 4 GB cards? I'm running 8 GB ones now but have a couple of 4 GB ones I could try...
Lack of physical system RAM could be the issue, as all of the systems I've tried v9 on to date had 2 GB or less physical RAM. Seems odd if that is the case though that taskmanager doesn't SHOW Claymore v9 using a ton of RAM.

i have experimented and 8 gig gpu's (or at least rx480's) will not hash with 1 gig system ram.. possibly 2 gig also i didnt take notes it was more of a lark really to try.
they dont crash though just hash at 0h/s
no reason to mine with less than 4 gig ram these days. and four is enough for the hobbyist miner.
On NEW builds sure - but have you priced DDR lately? It would cost me almost as much to completely replace the MB/RAM/CPU in a few of my existing rigs than to upgrade them to 4GB of RAM.

16.12.1-December5 is now the latest, but doubt it offers any improvement for mining over 16.11.5

8.0, 9.0, 9.1 all working perfectly here, no problems whatsoever. SSL, under/over clocking/volting, connection, windows 7/10 just works.
I don't have rx series cards though, seems to me that they would be the best cards to test this strange behaviour.

9.1 a bit better
but stability issues still continue.
Stability is not Claymore's issue! It's probably PSU issue . You get significally higher hashrate but it costs some power usage and it is logical. So you have to ensure proper PSU and do not blame Claymore I blame Claymore when the primary rig I did extensive v9 testing on uses about 200 watts out of a 1250 watt Seasonic PS. That is NOT a "proper PSU" issue. For reference, ALL of my mining rigs are deliberately set up with "excessive power supply" capasity (though not to the degree of that test rig - that's a special case 'cause the PS wasn't being used at the time I assembled that rig) - even for DNet/Prime95/Scrypt work they ALL would have excess PS capasity. I do that deliberately for a combination of "efficiency" and "longevity" reasons - same reason I used 2x X-1250 to run 3 Antminer S5 even though a single X1250 could handle 2 S5 units on it's own with some capasity to spare.

Also...I see drivers 15.12 suggested . Can't find a valid download link for Win 10 x64. A valid link to download ?
I've been playing with these drivers all week. I was able to find an old link to a 15.12 download, but when I run it, it only lists the audio driver as an install option. I've seen other commenters with a similar result so my conclusion is this version is just no longer provided by AMD and no longer allowed to be installed by the install manager. I've tried all the later ones which are readily available on AMD's site and have not seen any appreciable performance difference so for now I'm just running the latest one 16.11.5 dated 11-25. [/quote] 15.12 does not support the RX-series cards, it's for the 28nm GCN GPUs and a few of the last of the Terrascale GPUs only. 16.9.2 or 16.11.5 seems to be the "go-to" versions for the RX series at this time.

How to backup to Catalyst (Crimson) 15.12? I have 16.11.5. Overinstalling - no success. Help please.
I join this question How do I get the Catalyst (Crimson) 15,12? I'm sorry I'm a newbie. There is normally a link to "older drivers" on the AMD drivers page.

v9.1
ZecMiner64.exe -mport 0 -zpool ssl://asia1-zcash.flypool.org:3443 -zwal t1xxxx.worker -zpsw x -i 8 -dbg -1
ZEC: Stratum - connecting to 'asia1-zcash.flypool.org' <209.58.164.95> port 3443 (SSL/TLS) Cannot establish SSL/TLS connection ZEC: Stratum - Cannot connect to asia1-zcash.flypool.org:3443 ZEC: Stratum - Failed to connect, retry in 20 sec... GPU0 t=30C fan=0%, GPU1 t=29C fan=0%, GPU2 t=22C fan=64%
Am I doing something wrong?
STILL CANT CONNECT SSL. 9.1 can't connect using SSL to flypool servers (tried all servers), so I have to use non-encrypted connection. BUT, DevFee defaults to SSL, and when DevFee can't connect, my rig stops mining in the middle of the night!! Can someone please help? @ocminer, can't connect to suprnova with SSL. Any help? I just tried your config.. Works fine!? ZEC: Stratum - connecting to 'asia1-zcash.flypool.org' <209.58.164.95> port 3443 (SSL/TLS) SSL/TLS encryption is enabled ZEC: Stratum - Connected (asia1-zcash.flypool.org:3443) (SSL/TLS) ZEC: Authorized Pool sets new share target: 0x0020c49b (diff: 2000H) ZEC: 12/10/16-00:19:11 - SHARE FOUND - (GPU 1) ZEC: Share accepted (219 ms)! ZEC: 12/10/16-00:19:12 - SHARE FOUND - (GPU 3) ZEC: Share accepted (219 ms)! Still no luck. I'm forced to use -r 20 to make sure the miner restarts and continues mining. I prefer the short interruptions to having the DevFee cause the miner to stop entirely because it can't connect on SSL. I'm out of ideas on how to troubleshoot why I can't connect using SSL... use -zpool ssl://zec.suprnova.cc:2242 it should work for suprnova for flypool add ssl:// to address
