When are we expecting version 12.5?

Currently I'm working on new version of dual miner, so don't expect new version of ZEC miner within several days.

dual miner for zec or is it the eth dual miner?

There is a mod for running more than 4 GPUs in Windows.

Beta testing a new zClassic pool. Only .25% fees right now.

http://z.elfpool.com

Keep in mind that Zencash will split from ZClassic next month. You'll get 1 Zencash for every Zclassic you hold on May 23rd. Smiley  Maybe time to mine a little ZClassic.

According to whattomine, ZCL is as profitable as ZEC.

incorrect. You'll get 1 ZEN for every ZCL mined prior to block 100 thousand.

Yes, you're sort of right. That is what they originally said.  They have since changed their stance on that.

Block 100 thousand will happen next week. But Zencash isn't going live until May 23rd. Therefore they have decided to wait on the fork. They aren't ready to fork at block 100,000.

Check the zdeveloper chat or the more recent posts in the Zencash thread here.  They have been clarifying but I don't think they've updated the actual first "announcement" post yet. This makes it utterly confusing.  They're working on the whitepaper and other things which will make everything more clear.

I have one r9 270 and three r9280x GPUs now. I'M planning to sell them one by one and replace them with nvidia gtx 1070.
Does AMD and NVidia cards work together in the same rig?

Claymore has never supported Nvidia on any of his miners, but you can use a different miner for the Nvidia cards or run everything on NiceHash, they WILL coexist with AMD in the same system (though somewhat less stable at the system level on some setups).

Most of my 1070 cards are in systems with an AMD A10 APU (the GPU part of the APU is usually running BOINC work).

AMD / Nvidia coexistance is one of the very few things Windows actually does better than LINUX (undervolt support for AMD via tools like Afterburner is one of the others but that seems to mostly be the fault of the AMD drivers not of LINUX itself).

I'm no longer legendary just in my own mind!

Thanks for answering.

My rig was in a server room before but I had to take it to home now it's waiting for me to setup again. This time I do not go for linux because I was tired of not undervolting the cards on linux. Undervolting is my main couse for deciding to use windows.

And I do not know how to setup windows. I'll try. I think it takes more time than setting up linux. Setting up linux is easy, just next, next, next... But windows, I think I have to install drivers for ethernet and other things manualy.

if AMD and Nvidia can coexits with windows, I'm planning to run three r9280x cards with claymore and one nvidia gtx 1070 card with other miner which support nvidia.

You're out of date.

Claymore has supported NVIDIA in the dual miner since at least version 7.4.

When I was mining ZEC with my Sapphire Nitro+ OC 8GB 480s I was getting 330H/s on them with some fairly heavy OC.

Does the amount of ram make much difference with ZEC and ETH? 4GB versus 8GB

Not as much as speed of the memory. Some of Sapphire's 4GB cards have slower mem while the 8GB Nitro's have faster Samsung memory. I have a friend who bought MSI Armor 4GB 480s and with a BIOS mod he was able to get 28MH/s out of them as opposed to 29/30MH/s with the Sapphire Nitro+ 8GB cards. So in short not much of a difference.

One of my old cards was overheated (above 90 C) because its fans stopped. Now it works for several minutes, then the hashrate starts to drop until the cards stops (the fans are working and it has normal temperature).  I tried with -li option. It works longer but in the end stops. Is it dead, or I can do something to save it?
