I have one r9 270 and three r9280x GPUs now. I'M planning to sell them one by one and replace them with nvidia gtx 1070.
Does AMD and NVidia cards work together in the same rig?
Claymore has never supported Nvidia on any of his miners, but you can use a different miner for the Nvidia cards or run everything on NiceHash, they WILL coexist with AMD in the same system (though somewhat less stable at the system level on some setups).
Most of my 1070 cards are in systems with an AMD A10 APU (the GPU part of the APU is usually running BOINC work).
AMD / Nvidia coexistance is one of the very few things Windows actually does better than LINUX (undervolt support for AMD via tools like Afterburner is one of the others but that seems to mostly be the fault of the AMD drivers not of LINUX itself).
Thanks for answering.
My rig was in a server room before but I had to take it to home now it's waiting for me to setup again. This time I do not go for linux because I was tired of not undervolting the cards on linux. Undervolting is my main couse for deciding to use windows.
And I do not know how to setup windows. I'll try. I think it takes more time than setting up linux. Setting up linux is easy, just next, next, next... But windows, I think I have to install drivers for ethernet and other things manualy.
if AMD and Nvidia can coexits with windows, I'm planning to run three r9280x cards with claymore and one nvidia gtx 1070 card with other miner which support nvidia.
