I think i got my machine today I have a DHL sticker on my door and money I owe  $197.87, and kinda upset I didnt get any tracking number and have to wait till tomorrow to get it Sad

Are you in the USA?

I am curious what customs fee we will have to pay in the USA.  I didn't have to pay a dime with ASICMiner Blades.

I'm from Canada... looks like I will be there before 8AM when they open up... so they don't come with power cables? and wifi won't work out of the box?

Bitcoinica still has not given me 50% of my claim of 600 BTC

You will need a wifi antenna and you will need to activate wifi via LAN.

I'm scrambling to find old Ethernet cables and old power cables so I can plug everything and setup and goto work or maybe I should take the day off and get it all sort out. but im reading the wiki and seeing this

Attention: You need to configure it correctly based on your own network enviroment. If anything wrong you might could not access your WR703N any more.

isn't it straight forward
Connect your laptop to the eithernet port of the Avalon
Setup your laptop IP address 192.168.0.101
Open http://192.168.0.100
setup your mining worker: Status -> Cgminer Configuration.
Restart the cgminer service: System -> Startup,
Check your avalon status: Status -> Cgminer Status

turn off avalon machine and plug eithernet cable to the internet and power avalon and start hashing away?

No power cables, the wifi signal should work well without antenna since its 703n  router default design, but being inside of that box makes it weaker(someone explain), find the antenna or go by wire, which is very much recommended, Im, running avalons here and the uptime is really good after I moved to wire, not one single restart for more than 40 hours.

People waiting DHL should call them and ask if there is incoming package. And get a pair of ear mufflers, if not, you will be tempted to sell the unit the moment you power it on.

Unsure where to mine? Ozcoin is good to balance the pool load, I think soon we will see the hashrate raising again Tongue

just follow the instructions but set it up with access to your LAN via wifi, instead of the using ethernet config. read somewhere it also helps with the resets (mine has 14 days + uptime).

I paid $0 about 3 weeks ago, in the US; part of the test shipments - dont think it'll change. I believe the DHL site should state if anything is due or just call them

Arrived today! Hashing away, been waiting so long.

It was ~$40 customs in Canada. Device valued at $500.
Also, despite the address changes and support ticket closures in the last week, it was still delivered to the wrong address.
Luckily, I just required photo ID to retrieve at the depot.
