Also Paul Vernon or anyone who controls Cryptsy coins now,
please post what you are trying to do now with these transactions. You can sign your post with your Mooncoin address to verify that it's you.
That would be honest and fair. Even in the worse situation Btc-e returned coins to their users.
That really depends on who you are, not on anyone else, governments etc.
We can discuss that in the future. If you want to return coins, they must be returned step-by-step to prevent dumping them. E.g. 1-2 billion per month.
It's not for the nearest future of course, coins are still blocked in official wallets.
But you can start discussing it with the Mooncoin community in a transparent way here at Bitcointalk.
The majority of the coins were sent to the mooncoin donation address of Vassilis_Dev. Note the address in his footnote: 2QovBjnVke4fgn9UXdz9osheNLxQCk3d8R
This could be red herring as 17B were already sent way before. I didn't try to track were they went and it could be that it is near impossible to track them down.
Also please note that it is technically impossible that miners mine transactions of blocked addresses without creating a chainsplit, or hardfork. I suspect malicious code is ran on all nodes accross the network as I don't expect big vern to be moving such a small cap coin as mooncoin.
Did anyone review the code of Vassilis_Dev?

Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I just received a PM from Vassilis.
He confirmed that coins are at his address at the moment.

Vassilis is a transparent person, who delivered all his personal info to the community.
One of the oldest members of community lives in the same town with him and knows him personally.
So Vassilis won't commit any crime. Please be patient, no one will dump these coins.

If Paul Vernon sent coins to Vassilis, thanks to him, it's really a miracle,
but to stop rumors and suspicions would be right if he signed a message with a blocked address and posted it here at Bitcointalk.

How to generate Mooncoin BURN address (coins which are sent to this address will be burnt):

1) go to http://gobittest.appspot.com/Address
2) in "1 - Public ECDSA Key" paste "0400000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000" -> "Send"
3) edit "4 - Adding network bytes to 3" (003B4DF4363CAA9E3BD9DA58020D3080BE8230A4AE) to 033B4DF4363CAA9E3BD9DA58020D3080BE8230A4AE (Why "3":https://github.com/MichaelMure/WalletGenerator.net/blob/68e04a272cd007685acf36801fba6610d066f1c5/index.html#L10353) -> "Send"
4) MOON burn address is: 2JRPCyoVZ2GkprPJ4FjiVZBH9aj1fSJMPH

Could someone with more techinical knowledge analyze that and confirm that this is a BURN address for Mooncoin (that coins on this address will stay unspendable no matter what)?

Hi guys!

I feel very weird and I'm shaking right now!

I don't know exactly what happened.. I have no communication with Vernon and I think I'm the newest person in this forum(~1 month).
With polemarhos found this weird address... and you can't imagine the shock when I realised that was mine! Cheesy

My address is published by me on bitcointalk and on discord, as donation address, i think ~3 days ago.. so, if i was a thief this will be very stupid from my side!

The story is weird..
I started active development on Mooncoin about 1-2 Dec 2017.
You can check the github repository.. https://github.com/mooncoincore/wallet/commits/master
(commits are the change i did)
For my good luck.. Barry had a bug in miscalculation on specific amount in memory pool(all we are able to make a mistake) and the new wallet was not able to send any transaction.. it was good only for observation.
14th of December we saw the 1st wave of Vernon account moves.
The good think of me is that until Dec 15th and commit 3006d54 on github with the fix, the new wallet wasn't the reason of move.. because was useless!
So Vernon for sure used older version!
And this is proof I had nothing to do with those moves.

With simple words, in a de-centralised coin is not possible to control the accounts and the transactions after they insert in blockchain! If any coin control the blockchain then is very suspicious and with big question mark.. who has the control? It's against the philosophy of de-centralisation.

The wallet is opensource and anyone can alter the code.. the majority of the network wallets decides if anything is valid or not! But the principle of data not ethical limits!

Now those 62billions are on my account!(i think the amount and i think i will fade out!)
I am in communication with several members to see what we will do and how will managed this amount!

Please be patient!

For sure, I want to get rid off them!

Thank you. Your address was really transparent, you published it, so we trust you. Looks like some person with old school ethics sent coins to you, because you are Mooncoin dev and because your address was transparently published in your signature at Bitcointalk. For now please just keep these coins safe. You are responsible for that.

Hi I would appreciate If anyone can help me. I had 1 million mooncoin in the http://wallet.moonrush.org wallet. I left it in there and completely forgot about it. Now when i try to access that page no longer works. Is there anything I can do to retrieve my lost mooncoin?

Mooncoin is decentralised, which means that you and not anyone else control your coins in most cases (except a situation when you keep them at centralised exchanges),
so all you need to retrieve your coins is some knowledge (if you remember your passphrase, if not, it's not possible).

Please read the message below from another user who retrieved his coins in the same situation:

Hi guys

http://wallet.moonrush.org/brainwallet_moon.html >> link is no longer working?

can someone help me on this

ii) Once you've copied this; visit http://wallet.moonrush.org/brainwallet_moon.html and paste the brainwallet phrase into 'passphrase' - then click toggle key to reveal your private key. <<

I need my private key but the site is down

Hi guys I got my coins back. Please refer to below on how i did it:

1. If you like me, you stored your mooncoins on wallet.moonrush previously. You probably saved your url like this
http://wallet.moonrush.org/#XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX (please dont share this passphrase to anyone)

2. To get access to your mooncoins, you will need to access to your private keys.
please copy your passphrase after the # XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

3. Go to https://walletgenerator.net, choose 'Mooncoin', 'Brain wallet', input your passphrase and you will receive its private key.

4. After that you can import your priv key to the Mooncoin wallet,
by going to Debug-Console and typing this command importprivkey XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXyourprivkey

Many thanks to Mooncoin_Foundation for helping me out. Thank you!

I hope this can help someone in the future. To the moon!

It's bad to see a long term investor and dev in struggle and disagreement, investors want to see harmony, good team , stable organizzation, , honesty and trasparency, etc.
The team is solving problems. That's good for investors.

I think the foundation deliberately give it to you so that you can manage the whole development. If it is too much you can donate some to all the wallet holders to loosen some of your burden Smiley. But I have to say, do please keep up the good work, we have a long way to go but I am sure we will do good with you in the helm. In the meantime, if you need help do reach out. Thank you.
