Wallet for mac and linux is coming soon! Wink

From tomorrow I will start to inform all exchangers  to make the update from 0.10.5 to 0.13.9. So if Coinexchange change the wallet version you will have no problem!
I.. personally, never left my coins in exchangers for too long.. i can't trust 100% any 3nd party service!

Very strange 7 hours now no one hit a block!

Hello Vassilis,

It seems that this has been a recurring problem with the coin recently, but barrysty1e had mentioned that a fix would be coming in the next update for the re-targeting algorithm where he mentions a "self-lowering difficulty after timeout":

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1733963.msg21127245#msg21127245

... and welcome to Mooncoin, best of luck.  Smiley

Hi Vassilis

In step 4.
4. Backing up and importing your private key.

I go to the Console window and type in: walletpassphrase my password 10. then enter.

Type in: dumpprivkey and wallet address. then enter.

But my private key do not appear.

I find the wallet address as you write: File > Receiving addresses. Copy the address.

What am i doing wrong?

Thanks

I just edit the post.. the "10" is not minutes, but seconds!

Please, be more specific.. I can't help with only that..
What you mean not appear?
Do nothing?
Return an error? If yes.. what error?
If is the error "Please enter the wallet passphrase with walletpassphrase first. (code -13)" then you must add more seconds in walletpassphrase command.

Is there a reason why i either have 0 or just 1 connection to mooncoin network?
My wallet do synced and said it's up to date.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for your help.

Every connection is 1 websocket! Websockets are very fast but need also resources!
So, we must have "clever" techniques to save our resources!
Every time wallet needs more data try to connect to each peer in his list and the same time retrieve new peer list from the connection(websocket).
Wallet scan each peer for integrity( uses 1 socket for this process) and after that, connect with the 1st one!
Wallet make a decision and connect to 2nd only if wants re - validation of data or expecting so much data and believe 1 peer is not enough(in our wallet and in practice only 1 connection is enough to retrieve all data in few minutes!).
So, it's not necessary and also is waste of resources to keep alive connections with all possible peers!

I saw other wallets from other coins have tens of peers in their list... it's only the "known" peers! Never use them all together.. only one! The list is there just for presentation for all known and healthy peers!

I hope my explanation helps you!

Thank you Mooncoin_Foundation for the clarification and introduction of the new developer, Vassilis!

Already making great strides within days of working on the wallet; the embedded miner works great
and our network has jumped up massively. Smiley

Those just reading the tail end of the thread, please upgrade to the latest available wallet (0.13.9)
as soon as you can: https://github.com/mooncoincore/wallet/releases/tag/0.13.9-segwit
Choose the theme you like and the file ending in 'Setup.exe', as this will be what most users will want.

The Developer Assistance Fund is still active and ready to be used so the Community can directly support
our developer(s).

For those wishing to donate with crypto, you can do so here:

I had the same syncing issue until I upgraded to 0.13.9; no problems at all now!

I highly suggest backing your wallet.dat up (usually found here: C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\AppData\Roaming\Mooncoin) and then removing
the Mooncoin folder entirely to have a fresh wallet install. Install 0.13.9, let it fully sync, then shut it down. Copy and paste your backed up wallet.dat
back into C:\Users\YourUserNameHere\AppData\Roaming\Mooncoin then start the wallet back up. Do a small test transfer and confirm on a
blockchain explorer. Done! Cheesy

No problems with the v0.13.9 wallet.  Loads and runs normally, miner appears to work as well.  While there is a setting to have Mooncoin Core start on system login, the miner setting toggles to off with a restart, requiring manual reconfirmation of the miner settings to start again. It would be nice to set it up so that if it auto restarts, one can choose whether or not the miner restarts with it, with the previous settings defaulted in. That way if the computer reboots, one can load the wallet and start mining automatically (like the staking / minting options in other coin wallets).  Perhaps a change to consider for the next version?  Thank you.
