Bitcoin is starting good in 2017 too and volue of bitcoin is going hight when we are check bitcoin price we can see and i think most of people will start to use bitcoin system and bitcoin famlly will be bigger than 2016 and bitcoin familly will be stronger and everybody will win with bitcoin .

As we enter 2017, Bitcoin begins with a fresh start making it worth nearly $1000 per coin. Users, banks, and even governments are becoming more interested into Bitcoin, and its underlying technology called the Blockchain.
It is true that bitcoin is worth $1000 right now and we are hoping that it is going to be stable at $900 or $1000 per bitcoin, but the government becoming interested in bitcoin? I don't think so. It is a poison to them, so instead of supporting bitcoin, they are making articles and news saying that bitcoin is illegal and some other negative thoughts about it, because they won't get any taxes from it and they can't steal it like fiat, that is why they hate bitcoin. Now, as we progress into making Bitcoin more scalable and efficient than ever, I would like to know what are your thoughts for the pioneer cryptocurrency in 2017? If all goes well for Bitcoin this year, it might increase its value more than $1000, as well as become closer to being used as a mainstream currency. What do you think?  Someone said that bitcoin will going to pump to $1400 per bitcoin this time, I don't know if its true but let's just wait and see if this thing will really happen, if it is true, then it is a good news because we can earn a really huge profit if this actually happens, specially for those who holds their coins for a very long time. |

We just get to 1000 and people already talk about 2000, like its a bidding contest. Its a good sign that price is high, with this price bitcoin started to look much more serious then before, even if stay here on 1000 and make little rise I will be satisfied. My thoughts are going in popularization of bitcoin currency, and other alts, that is far more important now. With popularization bitcoin price can go up.

to save some bitcoins now.

I'm sure that bitcoin can go far by this year and we can see it already within its price is becoming higher since its past years. And maybe there are a lot of people that are ready to adopt bitcoin upon seeing its current price. That will make the demand of bitcoin higher. We can't be sure but at least what we can do for now is to be optimistic about it. The price is not the main reference for success, we have to see the story behind and if that is a real adoption of the people, then we will be confident we are going to a bright future. For now, there is no guarantee we can earn but we will have to play with our instinct and let this year be profitable for us by putting what we can. |

It is every Bitcoin enthusiasts dream that our currency will climb higher to even surpass 2000$ by the close of this year 2017 and I share the same opinion even though it's going to be tough and challenging. We are hoping as more people get to know there will be adequate demand for it to gain more value so that we can sell them for xmas.

Community wait for block size problem to solve, unconfirmed transactions cause delay. What happened to Segwit? Lightning Network? Are Core devs working for this problem? Will we use Bitcoin for microtransactions? Fee per tx is around 15-60 cents. It's impossible to use Bitcoin for microtransactions for this reason.
If they solve these problems I think Bitcoin's future is very bright this year.

But when it comes to the adoption of bitcoin, the price can be a measurement of its success. Because when the price gets higher it means two things, it's either the whales are doing something to pump or else the demand is really high. Parallel to this some issues to have got risen in the confirmation delay due to the blocksize. This will soon get solved when the discussion for the blocksize increase comes to an end. |

Of course it will because that will make more people encourage to use bitcoin upon seeing its price. And I am very sure that many will look to bitcoins opportunity and will aim for more success in bitcoin because it can make their lives wealthier and they will be more inspired upon knowing that there are people who became rich with it already. Yeah, I also assume that 2017 will be a grand year for bitcoin as from those very first days of 2017, bitcoin has rocketed and reached a peak of over $1000. And from what I can see, the number of negative news about bitcoin is getting smaller and even my country's national channel once broadcasted how innovative of blockchain technology and the benefits of bitcoin. So it's gonna be a promising year for bitcoin  |

I think Bitcoin has made great strides in recent years in increasing its user base, but I recognize that, as you said, there are still issues that need to be resolved with some urgency. It has been more than a year since the Bitcoin's scaling debate continues, and if the number of users continues to grow without this being resolved, more people will be complaining and questioning the efficiency of Bitcoin as a currency capable of functioning for micropayments.
Exactly. If these issues don't get sorted out as soon as possible, then Bitcoin would have a hard time to expand its user base and become used in the mainstream world. I believe that making Bitcoin scalable is for the greater good, but not everyone would agree with this proposition. In the end, it would be up to the users and miners of Bitcoin to decide for it to continue to expand over the years, by approving SegWit or not. If Bitcoin remains as is, then it would be very far from becoming mainstream, as users would need to wait more than 30 minutes for their transactions to get confirmed. It would be up to question, whenever Bitcoin forks into another altcoin (like what happened with ETH) once these scalable solutions become active. Nevertheless, I hope that Bitcoin would take the right path and turn out to become a widely-used cryptocurrency in the mainstream world, reaching higher price levels like never before. Just my opinion.  |
