What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017?

Yes it already secured it's position in the year 2017, many people are now days looking some thing new in their daily life so my though is government should elaborate bitcoin technology through out the world wide and make announcement that bitcoin can use able like gold. Bitcoin is completely digital currency and is limited we cannot able to mine more than that like gold.

Yes it is true that bitcoin is becoming more secure and stable. Maybe the government may consider to push not just the bitcoin technology but the bitcoin itself. Still, there are many people who do not know bitcoin, what it is and what it can do. I can see a more secure money/payment transactions once the bitcoin is introduced world wide.

I would like this to happen but we must not expect it, bitcoin is a threat to all the governments of the world but they don’t know what to do with it, bitcoin is still relatively small if compared to the major currencies but if it keeps gaining support very soon, may be in ten years, it could be one of the top 10 currencies of the world.

Considering the recent halving at bitcoin and the price achieved that were 500 dollars, i do believe this year if we stay at 900-1000 dollars its already a good result for bitcoin, at the halving i do believe people will push it to 1200-1400 dollars, but there still 3 years and some months to this happens.

The past years halving took as to a good price increase. Right on halving we haven't got any price increase, but the impact was experienced soon after a short which took place till the year end. This year price is stable above $1000 with fluctuations occurring on some time gap. Thinking of 2017, price might move towards $1500 by the year end if a good increase takes place at the mad year.

Rumors without valid reference is not something we can consider with our decision making, if they keep the price that way then I could say they can manipulate bitcoin. I don't it that way, the price will rise due to the demand and as bitcoin's existence go on, we can see more people will be buying bitcoins not for investment only but also to avail the service of our growing community.

But imagine when you do have a transaction more than 100 bitcoun or higher? It's really cheap
Compared to banks fee, so i guess the current price is reasonable enough
Don't need to be adjusted lower or something.

I think the transaction costs are low compared to the others, I'm always using current 0.0001 btc for each transaction and it was quite fast. I think of a transaction confirmation than fee confirmation because for each block consists of a lot of transactions so it takes time to confirm

That is right, the start of 2017 for bitcoin users is really a great start. Well it hit a 1000$ price which is really great and everyone is expecting for more.
But the thing about bitcoin is that it's price is really unpredictable and it is hard to understand it's fluctuations. But as long as we are earning some and it is the best for us, well it is going well.

But before next halving there would be big chances for 10X growth because we can expect mass adoption in between times. Within 2017, we can expect bitcoin prices to get at least doubled. I don't consider that as skyrocketing of price, in fact that is a conservative projection as last year we have an increase more than 100% and so with what is happening now, it is not possible to get that again. $2,000 may look like a big price for us but it is the desire of the people to adopt and demand of bitcoin that will cause to reach that level, let's be optimistic instead.

Indeed i told you , no other payment processor that afford to grant a transaction as low as 10k satoshi
Western union has really high fee also paypal has more higher fee percentage , what else?
It's more than enough to compare , fee isn't main big deal for bitcoin year after year
But people always looking for a higher bitcoin value , and wish there is no crazy dropped price this time.

Agree. Everything is perfect for Bitcoin now, but we won't know what will happen by the end of this year if SegWit doesn't get the approval of the miners. If scalable solutions won't get approved for Bitcoin, then it would limit its ability to grow soon. But, if miners consider that SegWit and Lightning Network is the most viable option for Bitcoin to expand, then the pioneer cryptocurrency would grow not only in capacity, but also in its value tenfold.

I hope that once these proposed scalable solutions become active, the price of a Bitcoin would be much more than what it is right now, probably between the $5000 to $5500 range. More people would become interested into Bitcoin, thus making it a mainstream currency than rivals standard fiat currencies, as well as, commodities like Gold. Bitcoin would become both a store of value, and a fast payment processor for everyday people. Just my opinion.

I agree, finally looks like a nice and slow, steady grow. I think many (read China) tried to push the price down below $1000, but it pushes back up, they cant control it how they wanted to. New people coming on board, and I dont know many bitcoiners that gave up, so all looks rather good at this point.

There isn't such a thing as a price that will never drop. Bitcoin has proven to go up to insanely high levels, but it has also proven to go below various levels that people would never expect were possible anymore. Take as example the dump from around $1200 to far below the $200 level. I know MtGox was the main reason, but still, it just shows that practically everything is possible when it comes to pumps and dumps. It's a free market after all....

I think even china can not push the price of bitcoin down, because bitcoin price increases occur normally, it is triggered by economic and political conditions such as the devaluation of the yuan, the currency war and geopolitical uncertainty. so in 2017 the price will continue to rise.

You can't consider that fact if the price can still be manipulated and believe it is true our only option now is to just wait for the right time when bitcoin will be more popular so the distribution will be widely circulated. The future is really great and we all believe on that but we cannot ascertain what will happen so we are only speculating now or betting for the future with our investment at hand.
