As we enter 2017, Bitcoin begins with a fresh start making it worth nearly $1000 per coin. Users, banks, and even governments are becoming more interested into Bitcoin, and its underlying technology called the Blockchain.

Now, as we progress into making Bitcoin more scalable and efficient than ever, I would like to know what are your thoughts for the pioneer cryptocurrency in 2017?

If all goes well for Bitcoin this year, it might increase its value more than $1000, as well as become closer to being used as a mainstream currency. What do you think? 

We have good start of 2017 imagine we reached 1000$ almost, and that happened because many of the users toatally increased together with the investors are getting more interested into bitcoin, that's why most of the company they attached bitcoin into their business. So it surely increase more than 1000$ for every BitcoinBTC.

In ths year the price of bitcoin is already tending to touch $1000 (a week ago it was at $100 but due to some bulk sale it came back again). With the price increase it is the guarantee that more people are coming and investing in bitcoin. In this year I am sure that some more companies will adopt bitcoin for their usage/payment and this year bitcoin can spread to a vast area of the world.

i hope that we can reach more than $1000 and will climbing to higher price. beside that, i think there are mass adoption will be happen in 2017 and this could make bitcoin to be another option for people to use as new investment. with the mass adoption, i am sure that people will be thinking that the time is come to them to buy bitcoin and then save it or waiting for another higher price.

For 2017 I think that bitcoin will get a better success and I hope that the block size will be increased and hopefully more big companies like ebay and amazon will implement and accept bitcoin in their systems which could lead to have more people using bitcoin.

I think there will be a slow up hill trend from now on as more and more use Bitcoin all over the world. I don't see any insane jumps in price but a slow growth. I think all the early adopters that mined or bought in the early days were the real winners out of Bitcoin but those who also trade in altcoins also benefit if they are good traders. I am not a day trader, would find it too taxing on the system but I know others are doing well from it.

When we apply SegWit in this year I suppose huge increase in price and after Lightning in this year or next, bitcoin will be over $5000

This year 2017 my thoughts that will happen with bitcoins i think we will see more merchant and more company will use bitcoin as payment method..
If it will happen more adoption will come that can push the value and we will see that the price will stay long in $1000 value above..
I calculated the revenue of  every miner and i think compare last year profit monthly the profit with the same price right now is low and i think miners will not let the price crash instead they will push the value more so that mining is more profitable..

I'm observing this bitcoins price this last year until now, based on my observation, bitcoins price is getting bigger each year because of the bitcoin population is increasing everyday. With this, this year and the next year, bitcoins price would be much bigger than its last price that hits for almost $1200, I'm expecting that bitcoins price this year would hit for $1600 per bitcoin or even more. I'm just predicting based on the bitcoins population. That is why it is possible that bitcoin would be use as a mainstream currency.

I still predict hiting $2000 till end of year,no matter all ups and downs we saw lately. Actually I'm happy how things go, and that they "banned" margin trading . What all of us can do is start sharing our love for BTC to other people, friends etc. I sell an online account for some game atm, and I gave special discount for buyer if he pays with BTC. I already got some replies, people ask for it, many ask what is bitcoin and how can they get it. So I educate them in some way

Agree. I think bitcoin will approach 2000$ in december this year because of the growth of population of bitcoin user. And I think bitcoin this year will add more security features for convenience of bitcoin holder. The way you Mention it I think the fact that bitcoin now real had a smooth movement I thought it would really fall on the 600 dollar mark but It didn't and wishing that it will be as stable as it can be, but even if it had a good value this year my thought over bitcoin that this year would still be the same that it won't be acknowledgement on some banks or any merchant to truly accept it.

yes that is right the trend of bitcoin to be use in offline store are increasing, i think in some countries like USD Canada and may be in some other countries bitcoin is accepted for shopping, i think some big companies are also going to adopt bitcoin in their company and to start different services on  it, they may also be thinking pay their workers salaries in bitcoin.
