Bitcoin will continue to grow as more and more because every people will think bitcoin is a very good investment. At least it's all our hope That's what we have seen in last 7 years. The journey of bitcoin has highlighted it's potential and a clear picture of the future. Currently not even 0.5% of world's population is using bitcoin but most of them are using fiat currencies. Just imagine what could happen if we could grab at least 5% share of world's population in bitcoin user base? I don't have any doubt in my mind that the price is going to rise. People now are getting smarter and embracing the technology of our world and for sure we already surpass at least 10% of our world population and they area already using cryptocurrencies for trading or such a good investment for their portfolio and if this kind of adoption will continue then it will be a good future for the early adopters because the price of their coin will be more expensive in the future. |

However if we continue to grow with the same speed then I don't think that is is far away from us. |

As we enter 2017, Bitcoin begins with a fresh start making it worth nearly $1000 per coin. Users, banks, and even governments are becoming more interested into Bitcoin, and its underlying technology called the Blockchain.
well, new year and fresh starts are only a mentality thing and not what happens. we are on the same path as we were before (it is a good path) and besides in many countries it is still the same year since many celebrate different days for new year. Now, as we progress into making Bitcoin more scalable and efficient than ever, I would like to know what are your thoughts for the pioneer cryptocurrency in 2017? If all goes well for Bitcoin this year, it might increase its value more than $1000, as well as become closer to being used as a mainstream currency. What do you think?  I believe like last years, this year we will see more price rise after this volatile period which is also full of panic sellers ended. and we will also see los more mainstream attention and hopefully some real adoption this year. I also agree on it, Bitcoin price is increasing as the year past by. Every year bitcoin price improved. I think this year it reach more than $1000. Another thoughts for bitcoin this year is government will accept it and it will be spread all over the world. I believe that bitcoin will be more popular this year. |

Though I don't know much more about Bitcoin. Because Bitcoin don't support here in Bangladesh. However, Bitcoin is a great payment method. And lots of users use Bitcoin for sending and receiving payments.
This dont mean you cant use it. Most countries not support it but look for some exchange that be exchanged for fiat money. For example my country dont allow but they take tax if we cross 10000 Euros from it. We found a way to go around system found exchange for that and local bank that accept this for start. Good is that anywhere you can exchange it, always some local trader will do it with little bigger fee off course. |

Here's my thoughts on the first half of the year for bitcoin. It has proven time and again that it can rise to the occasion. Start of the year was very rough, then the COIN ETF was reviewed pushing the price to a ATH, however, it was denied plunging in to sub $1000 and its so frustrated seeing the price go to 3 figure. However, Japan came into the scene like crazy, buying and trading of bitcoin then became active again, pushing the price of it to a new ATH. Well I became optimistic again, but last week the bubble has been burst and dumping start but it was short lived. Now the price is $2400 which is a good sign for all of us. Maybe the price can go $3000-$5000 at the end of the year.

I am really impressed by the growth of bitcoin but i am really waiting for the scaling debate to get through and i hope everything will be settled between the developers and they will come together and work in harmony to make bitcoin better and stronger rather than fighting over power and if they could do that the possibility is limitless for the future.
Yeah me too. It has been quite some time since Bitcoin has been going around scalability issues with no resolution up to date. The majority of miners are Chinese and oppose themselves to SegWit as it limits their ability to profit. They would prefer the current state of the network because of the increasing fees, rather than choose what's best for the Bitcoin network. On the other hand there's UASF, but we haven't reached consensus on it yet, making the scaling debate never-ending for the pioneer cryptocurrency. Smaller blockchains like Litecoin have successfully adopted SegWit, and other altcoins have done so too. Dash has even increased its block size limit up to 2mb, while BitBean already has a block size limit of 20mb. In the end, if Bitcoin doesn't scale because of the disputes among miners, developers, and the whole community, other altcoins will take the lead as digital currency, while Bitcoin would be left out as digital gold only to serve its purpose as a store of value, not being able to handle daily transactions. Aside from that, both Ethereum and Dash, look like good candidates to become Bitcoin's replacement. It will only be a matter of time before the market decides to give the rightful place to the cryptocurrency that people prefer the most for mainstream payments. Just my thoughts.  |

2017 is already a great year for bitcoin. As more people and countries are accepting bitcoin by the day, bitcoin is going to skyrocket more before the year ends. The first half of the year has really proven itself more than enough that there is great future for bitcoin and being a part of it at this stage makes me more than happy.

in fact from where start of 2017 the price of bitcoin is increasing continuously, I think in December 2016 the price of bitcoin was trading 800$ and in the very first month of January 2017 the price cross 1000$ and now after 5 months the price of bitcoin is trading above 2400 USD that is really a great progress and it is expected that this trend will continue tell the end of 2017 |

Everytime it goes up too much too fast it ends up falling down shortly after,that is called market circle. Dont forget,market is consist of buyer and sellers. Right now bitcoin is moving in right direction,likely uptrend will continue till price action will touch huge sell orders.But after selling rally get completed bitcoin has able to recover pretty quick whether there is a crash or not. We will see some major countries will continue accepting BTC .It is really big challenge for future coins.

IMO 2017 is a year when bitcoin able reach highest value since it was being born as more country decide to accept bitcoin for their transaction.
It's a great news because more people able to know what bitcoin really is especially for who still forbid bitcoin usage but doesn't care about bitcoin potential

$3,000 is not that tough to get up to since the price of Bitcoin is at $2,346.31. Bitcoin dumped around $400 in a single day so I am sure that going up $400 in a day wouldn’t be that hard for a coin that’s been around for 8+ years on the Internet. |

Long live bitcoin. I hope the stress test or the number of unconfirmed transaction to be less and be like before with cheap transaction fees not like now which is not as cheap as before because now it doesn't worth making micro payments because more will cost the transaction fees rather than the amount to be sent. My thoughts for bitcoin for the rest of the year is getting to $3k as soon as possible.

Well yeah the miners fee right now has increased and many of us are complaining with it. But I know that it will be fixed very soon, many are predicting that the price of bitcoin will be at high before this year ends and I want to support that it would happen and hoping that we are into it or we'll see that after this 2nd quarter. |
