What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017?

By 2017, I would argue that bitcoin will be more and more people interested in getting to know or using bitcoin. Although there will be ups and downs, but for bitcoin values it is likely to be higher.

yeah a lot of people are joining bitcoin and bitcoin adoption increasing too much faster everyday and bitcoin are going to popular currency of the world and i hope we can be able to use bitcoin in local shop for direct shopping.

With Australia planning to treat bitcoin as a currency and removing double taxation since July 1, we're in for a great 2017 though it's somehow shadowed currently with a stalemate from SegWit and BU supporters. If people can't come to a compromise then we'll be experiencing these issues for the coming months. It will eventually hurt bitcoin but it needs to be thought thoroughly.

The implementation of Bitcoin in such developed countries will greatly affect its price in the state in the future. What is happening in the market today is very much like a boom, and this will be the beginning of the replacement of real currencies with Bitcoin.

Don't get excited too quickly. Sure, Bitcoin is a fantastic tool in many aspects, but mostly, it's just an alternative, and it will remain an alternative.

I seriously don't even want Bitcoin to replace any existing fiat currency if the opportunity was there. Bitcoin in current form is unique and greatly contributes towards financial freedom and decentralization.

What do you think will happen if Bitcoin forms a potential threat to the financial system? You seriously think governments will just sit back and look how Bitcoin is taking over?

Yes the replacement of real currencies has been started. Now one after another country will decide to adopt bitcoin for their state and they will reject the fiat currency for their country or they will limit out the fiat in their country. That is a good step and those countries know that bitcoin is a beneficial currency that is why they are doing that. So far this is the best thing happened to bitcoin in 2017 that states involved in bitcoin.

It is what everyone is thinking of with bitcoins price so I think it's very possible that we are going to reach this amount of $2k before the end of the year. As we enter Mid-2017, Bitcoin has shown consistent growth making it worth $1700 per coin. Users, banks, and even governments are now more interested in Bitcoin and researching blockchain applications and beginning to implement them in several locations globally.

Concerns have also increased in terms of blockchain scalability in relation to Bitcoin but even in this environment we are still seeing optimism and adoption metrics growing.

It looks to be a good year

Yes. In my point of view, everything began in 2017 where people started to gain more interest into Bitcoin due to its high spikes in price. This year has been such where more banks and governments have shifted their view towards the pioneer cryptocurrency's underlying technology, eventually leading towards massive adoption of the same, and the acceptance of cryptocurrencies as forms of payment.

Japan has recently made Bitcoin legal, and other countries are beginning to devise ways to regulate cryptocurrencies. Also, due to the high interest into Bitcoin, there had been more transaction throughput like never before, raising the concerns of scalability among its community.

That is why, I think that from this year and beyond, Bitcoin will either keep rising or stagnate in a point where it could not handle any more transactions. The debate is getting fierce, but I'm confident that somehow Bitcoin will scale either via UASF or SegWit to ensure its long-term growth. Just sharing my thoughts.
