What are your thoughts for Bitcoin in 2017?

As we enter 2017, Bitcoin begins with a fresh start making it worth nearly $1000 per coin. Users, banks, and even governments are becoming more interested into Bitcoin, and its underlying technology called the Blockchain.

Now, as we progress into making Bitcoin more scalable and efficient than ever, I would like to know what are your thoughts for the pioneer cryptocurrency in 2017?

If all goes well for Bitcoin this year, it might increase its value more than $1000, as well as become closer to being used as a mainstream currency. What do you think? 

I think bitcoin will have its way to be popular this year. And because of that bitcoin value will continues to grow and grow it will go with the changing environment,therefore the value of bitcoin will continue to increase as the time goes by. Many people will be awaken, they will be aware to bitcoin, they will get curious about this. And then,they will earn  it too with us.

I am already satisfied if bitcoin value reaches at least $2,000 this year and became stable $1,500, I am not expecting for more increase to it's but if so I am hoping that it will take longer time before it would get lower . I think we should hope for more people to come in to bitcoin and adapt in to it because I think it is the only way for bitcoin to get more higher price .

Yeah. The more people we get into Bitcoin, the more likely its price would increase. There has been a major interest in Bitcoin recently, especially from the Chinese which I believe that this year would end near the $2000 USD mark in its value.

I think that the main issue of Bitcoin nowadays, is the ability to process transactions in a short amount of time. It takes too long for then to confirm which it might be one of the reasons why the price hasn't increased very much in a short amount of time. However, I think that if one of the proposed scalability solutions comes live, then Bitcoin's price will rise above $2000 probably leaving it around the $5000 USD mark.

When that happens, a lot of Bitcoin holders would benefit by earning massive profits. That is why, I'm holding most of my BTC and will buy more if price goes down a little. Just sharing my thoughts.

The price of the bitcoin depends upon the approval of the ETF and if that is not approved this time around you cannot really determine the real price and there is a possibility that the price would come down and can expect a small correction.

Its popularity will depend on one thing and one thing only and that is its demand. The demand of Bitcoin will play a big role if its price will stay at 1000$ or not. This 2017 I hope that Bitcoin will have a good recognition compared to last year.

I totally agree with you mate. For sure in the future bitcoin will be more powerful than today. Nowadays, More people trust bitcoin as a great cryptocurrency, which you can buy with it in internet marketplace. Also the price for 1 btc is awesome now.
I think in the near future, More people will enroll in this bitcoin community and trust it like a secure and untracked way to pay or recieve money simply.
My prediction about the price is 2000$ in the end of this year, I hope bitcoin cross this barrier soon.

It's not expensive if you still believe the price will continue to rise, this is not an item to be considered as expensive, the price that we are seeing now is the result of the demand brought by the increasing number of adopters. The price may rise and fall but you have to know what are the reasons behind for you to make a good decision that will benefit on your investment.

Most of the speculators I've seen so far would think differently. Some even believe that Bitcoin can reach the three thousand dollar range, not getting stable in this range, of course, but falling back and stabilizing between $ 2000 and $ 2500. It's just speculation, but I think a lot can happen this year.

Based on the ETF approval lot of changes will be taking place by this year. As quoted the price has got high chances of going above $2000, but none is sure about its reality. Also confirmation delay has been found largely, which to might create a issue for lagging in price increase.

Good points. If all goes well for Bitcoin's value, and ability to scale, then it would become successful for years to come. I have the feeling that more people will get into Bitcoin as it becomes more valuable over time. Since it is a deflationary cryptocurrency, its supply is limited and it can be compared to Gold. Even if the pioneer cryptocurrency doesn't get to scale with the approval of the proposed solutions, it would be used as a store of value while other alternatives like Litecoin would become used for everyday transactions.

Nevertheless, I hope that by the end of this year we could see many exciting things for Bitcoin like becoming worth $1500 and above. Just my opinion.
