why is my wallet not in sync??

can't sync for hours?? so i can't get any more coins?

To many request for getting their ftc sold? transfers between ftc-qt and btc-e?

To little hashpower for getting the transactions done fast?

Since ftc is getting less and less worth on the exchange i guess people are fleeing and trying to get out as much as possible.
Bushstar should be either doing the 1/4 change to block retarget or throw in the towel.
I see from the other forums that some people urge him to relax and ride the wave. to see what will happens when target is reached.
However the network has in just 2 days lost another 100.000 khash power and the retarget time has gone from 18days to 21 days.
This seem to state that the retarget time will never be reached... who in their right mind will direct their power to something that is sinking on the exchange,
is very difficult to mine, and in about x numbers of days the diff will be so low that what they so eagerly worked their ass off to mine isnt worth more than a day or to with
"new difficulty" mining...

This coin will be dead, unless something is done SOON.

In the middle of all the discussion about changing the difficulty someone with some decent hash power started a hash power rally. So far we have seen a 5.4% increase in hash rate knocking off a day from the retarget time. If anyone wants to participate why not join in the discussion over at the Feathercoin forum in the link below.

http://forum.feathercoin.com/index.php?topic=364.0

zerodrama pointed out that the give-me-ftc pool pays out on 10 confirmations which saves having to wait for 120 confirmations during these slow transaction times.

https://give-me-ftc.com/

@digger I wonder if this is something that you might be able to implement in your pool?

I have another 6Mhs to throw at it if I get a little support from others on the community.

To all pool admins - can you drop the confirms required even if its just for the short term?

The problem with that, is they don't get the coins into the wallet (in a spendable form) until 120 confirms, so the hot wallet would dry up for a period before refilling and being ok.

Will surely direct my 6Mhash/s towards feathercoin again if the retarget gets down a bit.
HOWEVER whats says that this wont happen again. as soon as the diff is around 30 again the network gets flooded with miners, difficulty rises an people abandon ship again...

Measures are being taken to prevent that happening.

We need to borrow your hashing power for a day or so svennand before the retarget. Go on, you know you want to? Smiley

You have to make one post in the newbie section to be able to post in the rest of the forum. This is to keep the spam bots at bay.

think ill stick to give-me-ftc for now, better to put all hashing power at one place. and give-me-ftc seems like the right place (10 confirm, and so on).
Worst case scenario give-me-ftc gets ddos to the stoneage due to popularity (anti feathercoin people). In that case i have solomining failover=)

EDIT:
Also i dont like that your not able to see any statistics for the tailfeather network without having to register.
Should at least show hashingpower of the pool.

We just need to start finding more blocks again so that we can get the confirms moving properly.

Come on guys, lend us your hash's for a few hours, we're starting a hash rally over at...
