I've got another test up here http://fpool1.zapto.org:15005/
Longpolling with share difficulty of 3, but I haven't gotten a block yet to test (best share 16.7k / 65.5k )

Running good so far. It's nice to see so many shares vs how it was with the p2p. I know the payout is very similar, but you know, instant gratification.

Yeah it's nice for the low kh/s to have less variance. I tested "diff 3" with 12 kh/s and it seemed to give a reasonable rate of shares without flooding 1.7 MH/s . The only thing I don't like about pushpool is that the server has a wallet that it pays from. I'd much rather have the payout go like P2Pool with the transactions tied to the block rather than holding the whole block reward locally and paying out from there.

How is your stale rate?

My 900 kh/s isn't getting it anymore. We need a p2pool soon.
After restarting a few times to make sure things weren't hung up, I'm getting a block on average every 30 minutes with ~850kh/s

That's pretty good. I just keep on getting "New block detected on network" now.

Haha, ya... I start reading the thread and think "Man it's early still!" and go about setting up the client and miner..

then fast forward to the end of the thread.. dismayed.

even when I'm quick, Im too slow lol. it's one of those days, everything is out to get me.

oh well, at least I know how to solo mine now. yay. *bangs head into wall*

Maybe i'm daft, I think I set it up correctly and I'm getting

How does the coins transfer to my wallet? When I open up FeathercoinQT I'm still at balance 0  Huh

Lol no man, AFAIK, thats all those guys with 27 HD7999X milk crates stacked in the basement under the UberAircon running at 5000000Mh/s and getting coins every .0005 seconds.  Blocks found on the network, as opposed to ones you've found.

I'm seeing the same as you, and I know my miserable 5850 alone is just drowning in a world without pools..

Damn it I must go back to my original idea of inventing a time machine. I have much more potential success with that idea!

For some reason I'm just getting:
Stratum from pool 0 requested work restart
Over and over again when I try and connect to the fist pool. Its been doing this for about 5 minutes.
Anyone know how to stop this and actually start mining? I wanna send my 800khash over

Hey all,

So I thought I would see if the modified version of Stratum would work out of the box with FeatherCoin and have set up a test pool site today. Please feel free to jump on and mine some FC. Any blocks found will be paid out.

Stratum: currently working and 1 block found already

Connection details:  stratum+tcp://mine.altpool.com:3333/

Pushpool: currently not working, hope to have this running in the next 24 hours.

Strange issue. I turned on cgminer on a machine that I get ~800khs with when mining litecoin. Attempting to mine feathercoin I am getting less than 30. Anyone else having this problem, or can anybody provide some insight?

Hrmm, well I've got cgminer running on the new pool @ http://fpool1.zapto.org:28339  and getting accepted shares left right and centre. Smiley

Worrying however is I'm getting a fair number of hardware errors and I'm not pushing my card that hard, certainly not as hard as I have. Unless I've suddenly buggered it.. Now that would fit in with the day I'm having aha.. *touches wood*

I can push the card to 370+- Kh/s with an intensity of 16-17 on ltc, but it's struggling at 320Kh/s on 11, atm. I'm just hoping that means that it's failing with so many quick hashs.. or .. yeah I have no idea what I'm talking about..  the voodoo is working but the spells don't make sense.

What intensity should it be for a hd5850 sapphire / andor clock/core speeds? 915/1100 works fine for ltc, and 930/400 works fine for btc... any lower on the memory and I get a skyshow in my monitor.

But the main thing is, on the pool website, I am not seeing anything change for my worker - it's hash rate is there, the pool stats, block stats are changing, but I'm not seeing anything from the rounds I assume I'm participating in.

Your Current Hashrate
360 KH/s

Paid Shares [All submitted shares from previous rounds which are already accounted and paid for.]
Your Valid: 0
Invalid: 0

Unpaid Shares [Submitted shares between the last 120 confirms block until now.]
Your Valid: 1531
Pool Valid: 153332

Round Shares [Submitted shares since last found block (ie. round shares)]
Pool Valid: 10331

Round Estimate
1.97700406 FTC

Account Balance
0 FTC

am I just missing something, or is something missing... someone throw me an intelligence potion please..

Oo

Round Estimate
1.97700406 FTC  that's your current round info Smiley

as far as the vid card settings, i'm not an owner of an ATI card so it might be different, but with my Nvidia card i too struggle with intensity settings on cgminer, sometimes 11 works, sometimes it crashes within 30 seconds.

I'ld give cudaminer a try if i were you, see what rates you get there Smiley

it got through after i requested to resend it, arrived in a few seconds after that Smiley

Some of the text still mentions LiteCoin instead of FeatherCoin, but besides that, it's looking good Smiley

Glad to hear it made it through Smiley

Yeah, im just going through the code now to make all references from LTC to FC; this site is just a pure pull from my litecoin pool with a couple of miner updates made so far.

You can check out my litecoin pool at : http://www.mineltc.com : i even have a mobile friendly version of the site (many sections still in production) up and running at http://www.mineltc.com/mobile.php

I'm still getting the stratum restarting thing over and over again. Can someone help me figure out how to get it working?
Will tip feathercoin to whoever does.
