My 900 kh/s isn't getting it anymore. We need a p2pool soon.

After restarting a few times to make sure things weren't hung up, I'm getting a block on average every 30 minutes with ~850kh/s

That's pretty good. I just keep on getting "New block detected on network" now.

then fast forward to the end of the thread.. dismayed.

even when I'm quick, Im too slow lol. it's one of those days, everything is out to get me.

Lol no man, AFAIK, thats all those guys with 27 HD7999X milk crates stacked in the basement under the UberAircon running at 5000000Mh/s and getting coins every .0005 seconds.  Blocks found on the network, as opposed to ones you've found.

I'm seeing the same as you, and I know my miserable 5850 alone is just drowning in a world without pools..

Damn it I must go back to my original idea of inventing a time machine. I have much more potential success with that idea!

For some reason I'm just getting:
Stratum from pool 0 requested work restart
Over and over again when I try and connect to the fist pool. Its been doing this for about 5 minutes.
Anyone know how to stop this and actually start mining? I wanna send my 800khash over

Strange issue. I turned on cgminer on a machine that I get ~800khs with when mining litecoin. Attempting to mine feathercoin I am getting less than 30. Anyone else having this problem, or can anybody provide some insight?

Hrmm, well I've got cgminer running on the new pool @ http://fpool1.zapto.org:28339  and getting accepted shares left right and centre.

Worrying however is I'm getting a fair number of hardware errors and I'm not pushing my card that hard, certainly not as hard as I have. Unless I've suddenly buggered it.. Now that would fit in with the day I'm having aha.. *touches wood*

I can push the card to 370+- Kh/s with an intensity of 16-17 on ltc, but it's struggling at 320Kh/s on 11, atm. I'm just hoping that means that it's failing with so many quick hashs.. or .. yeah I have no idea what I'm talking about..  the voodoo is working but the spells don't make sense.

What intensity should it be for a hd5850 sapphire / andor clock/core speeds? 915/1100 works fine for ltc, and 930/400 works fine for btc... any lower on the memory and I get a skyshow in my monitor.

But the main thing is, on the pool website, I am not seeing anything change for my worker - it's hash rate is there, the pool stats, block stats are changing, but I'm not seeing anything from the rounds I assume I'm participating in.

as far as the vid card settings, i'm not an owner of an ATI card so it might be different, but with my Nvidia card i too struggle with intensity settings on cgminer, sometimes 11 works, sometimes it crashes within 30 seconds.

I'ld give cudaminer a try if i were you, see what rates you get there

Hmm, not sure about cuda, isn't that specifically for nvidia chipsets? I think I tried it on the spare pc in the living room which has an nvidia card, and was getting 1-2kh/s which made me realise that turning the pc on to test it was costing more than any amount returned from mining with it

Not that this factors into why Im doing all this.

I have no idea what it was, perhaps I'd started it in a funky state, but I stopped the miner entirely, rechecked the configs, changed them back to what I had originally - with shaders @ 5760, I'd read that it could be a problem somewhere - and now it's running @350+-Kh/s with 0 HW errors. I can tell it's back to normal as typing is like using a tablet. Intensity at 16 currently.

6.3FTC in the round estimate now. I think I worked out what I was misinterpreting on the pool server.   a 24hr estimate of 1,291.484 ? ha.. when I see it I'll believe it. And even then what really is a ftc worth )

Somehow through all the confusion, there are tiny little slithers of sense being made. One day I'll know something else ! That is a nice concept :

execute your normal cgminer command line, and add --fix-protocol in the end, that should remove those messages.

It is, however, an indication that you are connected to the pool. A few posts ago, there was a new port for the pool, fpool1.zapto.org:28339 , but you have to register on the website to get an account, perhaps that'll give more results?
