I think this dip is the start for the next bull run, the bitcoin rocket is fueling up with alt blood. most likely we will see bitcoin testing 10000, shaking off the last weak hands when it goes below 10k. then the rocket launch will catapult us to 20k in lightning speed!

for most coins it won't be a valid comparison. they use completely different algorithms and machines to mine and the figures can't be compared.

the only direct comparison is bcash pretty much which uses the same machinery.

The crash in January 2014 happened after a huge bitcoin AND altcoin pump, but there was another bitcoin AND altcoin pump in late January/early February.

Haha, love the January dip pics, lots of people have to sell this month to make the Jan 31st tax deadline - I sorted mine out earlier in the year and managed to pay in fiat
