The grue lurks in the darkest places of the earth. Its favorite diet is adventurers, but its insatiable appetite is tempered by its fear of light. No grue has ever been seen by the light of day, and few have survived its fearsome jaws to tell the tale.

I think the old codger lost his edge. Missed crypto, doesn't understand it. Feels a bit butt hurt.
He doesn't care and doesn't have to. Horses for courses.

So do we expect any action on/around Jan 26th when the first January futures contracts expire? Opinion?
They're settled in cash daily, right? So the fireworks have already taken place. Might be a bit of funny business, though - I am also interested to see what action takes place.

Btc won't stop or won't go down because there is a big hunt for 1 trillion marketcap. At 1 trillion btc will be probably worth around 20-25k

Feels manipulated as hell. Whales shook the tree and weak hands dropped bitcoin. Now here we go...

These market caps are a joke. I can wipe millions of dollars of value from a shitcoin by dumping a few thousand dollars worth. Anytime you can move a market cap with 1000x leverage, the market cap is not real.

Anytime you can move a market cap with 1000x leverage, the market cap is not real. Market cap has always been a useless indicator, not just in crypto but in more traditional markets too. Of course all of the coins/shares/commodity cannot be sold at the current price. I really wish there wasn't so much focus on market cap, it's such a meaningless figure.

It's the only metric they have. When you have a large percentage in volume, then the marketcap can be "real", even though you know you can't sell it all. In Bitcoins case, there's about 4 million BTC that is never going to move; perhaps more.

What is that picture in that article? An old mother board with a memory module crammed in a pci slot and some burned up video card?

So congrats, and just fucking cash out a little more so you can keep riding this wave without remorses with the rest of your (huge) stash.
Ok. Extracted just north of $1M @ $14,500 USD/BTC. Once the wire hits my account, I'll load up for round 2. Great. Now you have also bought some additional time to reconsider your position and next steps... using only a small part of your stash. Wherever the price goes now you did the right thing in the path of balancing your portfolio and securing your (wealthy) retirement.
