Delightful shake..think it worked. I am interested it touched the 12.7k trend line but bounced back very strongly. I am still looking for a moderate rally thru this weekend.

The dips have been glorious. I'm tired...think I'll take a nap now.

Yeah, it was a pretty decent shake, and sure when it is coupled with the Korean news, then such news can become a bit scary... so who knows if it is over, or if it sufficiently shook a few folks (weaker hands) out of their bitcoins.


You are correct that we are not quite getting down, even close to the $11,060 low from a few weeks ago.  Every time there are attempts to go below $13k, there is not much luck with that too.  It could be that bears are running out of coins, but surely we cannot write them off yet.   

Since we already visited dips down to $11k a couple of times and then several attempts at $13k, I am still kind of preparing for a further dip, but increasingly losing confidence that a further dip (such as that below $10k) is going to happen, because we really have to significantly go below $13k first (which you seem to identify such).

So, yeah, with this level of trade volume, after a certain amounts of unsuccessful attempts to go down, then it is seeming more and more likely that the direction of least resistance is to go up.... would be nice, would be nice.  But I am still o.k. bouncing around between $13k and $17k, too...  or whatever is going to happen, we seem to remain in a pretty decent position... with decent difficulties getting this bad boy to go down.

Yep good opportunity to pick up a few more coins, and also to reset some orders.. and in the end, I am not picking up a whole hell-of-a lot of coins because we seem to be bouncing around in the same range, but still does seem to allow some strengthening of the BTC holdings and even a little bit of wearing out with anticipations regarding where we gonna go?

I think this korea news will be good for bitcoin in the long run, lets hope we get back to 15 soon

To be fair, he is probably just warning users about the hazards of using Kraken to trade in a volatile day such as today.

The problem is how to get fiat in and out without a bank. I haven't researched the problem or the proposed solutions yet. Can anybody share pointers?

Retirement plan is back on schedule, now that I've pulled the trigger on the first batch. Want to get my liquidations done this quarter for tax purposes.

Well hope you and your partner enjoy it. Fair play for holding right from the early days. Particularly through the bear year of 2014 (went through it myself shudder). Seems that your patience has paid off.
Sadly I can’t cash out just yet as I don’t have the numbers that you are playing with!
I did manage to cash a little out (about 20%) when we were at $10K and paid off a large chunk of the mortgage so feel a little more secure now.
Although, I must admit, it is hard to watch BTC sliding down like this but we have seen it all before and she always comes back stronger.
