The gold ticker on screen (while they were trashing Bitcoin at a shocking $100) was showing gold at $1599... How times change.

I believe bothers and sisters, that an ETF can be passed by the SEC. I have seen the light in a miracle.... (my obelisk sc1 doorstops from use of the last 2 months, as doorstops, not being worth turning on, are making bucks now since they decided to fork Siacoin, for those units only...what are the odds?) so, being silly, hairless primates, hooting and tossing about poo, in life in general and all the forums etc...my faith is renewed that the SEC could pass the ETF! I have now got FAITH all things are possible! (yeah, I was a dumb ass, but may just wiggle out of this yet) But, ahem...THIS IS PROOF ...that the SEC can still rise to the challenge...and I also have a shot to be Natalie Portman's Love Puppet! (going to use my current run of luck and hit on supermodel looking women ASAP...not sure how long this deal with the devil I made, obviously, in my sleep last night, will last, don't ya know!) WAIT! IT HAS TO BE THE HAT! The Avatar! (yep, of course!). It all becomes 'clear' now! So anyway, as they say... (this whole crypto universe has been one silly step after another since 2013...when will I learn?) (I have 'spoken' let it be so!) later Brad

^ ^^ ^^^ ^^^^ ^^^^^ Get a room, knuckleheads.
Witch room you prefer to share For those 2? The boring the pants off people room. ~meanwhile a tiny fakeout dump, already recovering For reference, you are referring to the interchange between me and roach. If you are not interested, then don't read it, diptwat. At least there had been some attempt to make the discussion between us thread relevant (at least by me, and seemingly not the roach who just rambles out vague references that might be arguably bitcoin related, but are not).

I had to just stop it all together, and sought the support of AA for a few years. If you feel that you may have developed a physical dependency, (like having to drink everyday to avoid the shakes,) I would seek medical advice before attempting to stop or cut down.

How much does one need to drink daily to develop physical dependency? I guess it depends on the person, but still maybe you can give a reference? I think I am in the same boat (no pun intended) than Ibian... completely functional, almost no effect (except the weight gain), but still an absurdly high amount of daily alcohol consumption since maaaaany years ago. I did switch from whisky+coke to beer and wine since I stopped smoking though. That was easy.

fackin 'ell micg, that's pretty cool. at this rate you'll overtake me in the merit bagholder stakes. soon we will have conquered all those forum meta-tards and the price will therefore fly up to the stars.
Fucking hell, you’re 6th & 10th most Merited posters on the entire forum. Well done Thanks to you guys. The link https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;stats=topusersathomer, Bob, hairy, jojo, info, JJG, Torque also represent. and many OGs and worthwhile noobs need pumping not Eddie, though. he'd rather criticise than contribute lol That above link provided by V8 shows the current top 50 merit receivers of the forum. Of course, there are some other places to look up merit stats for specific users, such as this website. By the way, the WO thread has a LARGE disproportionate number of merits distributed within it, as compared with various other forum threads. See this Loyce-created thread for discussion of merit distribution by forum threads / topics.

Of course, Charlie Shrem should be attempting to live more discretely, especially since he had already gone to prison, and there will be presumptions against him, which could send him back to the slammer - especially if civil pursuits against him end up revealing criminally relevant information.

How do you guys deal with excessive drinking? I mean, I'm functional, but would still like to cut down.
I had to just stop it all together, and sought the support of AA for a few years. If you feel that you may have developed a physical dependency, (like having to drink everyday to avoid the shakes,) I would seek medical advice before attempting to stop or cut down. I have Ibian ignored, but I find "cold turkey" works best, provided you aren't a completely alcohol-dependent degenerate, in which case, I understand there may be some possibly life-threatening withdrawal symptoms to deal with (eg: delirium tremens complications). Emotionally, it helps to treat alcohol with disdain and hatred for a little while. "Fuck this alcohol. Why am I drinking so much and letting it rule my life. I'm the boss of me. I'll show it !!!" sorta thing, and mind-trick yourself into having the fortitude to maintain restraint for a while. I just had a single Greyhound to unwind a bit. Had another three beers with Rick earlier in the week after he had a rough day at the office. 4 drinks total in one week is progress I can live with, compared to a six-pack-of-beer a day prior trend. Don't plan on drinking any more this weekend... It's tough - responsible adulting. Six beers a day doesn't seem like an excessive drinking by any means... or is it?
