Even in the event that an attacker gains more than 50% of the network's
computational power, only transactions sent by the attacker could be
reversed or double-spent. The network would not be destroyed.

Does this mean that your previous accounts have a negative trust? why do you condemn me because of my profession?
Nope, I'm one of the only semi-trustworthy people here seeing as how even users like "DeathAndTaxes" defrauded people. As for your second question, I think most sane people define profession as creating goods or services with some type of value. Financialization does none of this. No reason to lie to yourself that you're a grifter. The world is becoming more of a tribe-minded authoritarian dumphole from where I'm sitting.
Are you rustled? #nazilivesmatter

As our society keeps moving left
lmao. Such American He’s right though. Religiosity is slowly declining global as incomes rise, including in the USA. As religious nutjobs of every stripe and color slowly die off, the world is becoming a more tolerant and peaceful place. The world is becoming more of a tribe-minded authoritarian dumphole from where I'm sitting. Overpopulation is probably going to turn the whole planet into a dystopian mess any minute now. And the price of Bitcoin is too low. Overpopulation...on land...

There'll be no overpopulation at sea because all the kids will be riding their bikes into Davy Jones' locker.

Dear StartupAnalyst, welcome to the WO thread. Roach had some accounts stolen, perhaps poor computer hygiene. Many have him on ignore. If you quote him, many will ignore you.

Took a closer look at the consequences of reduced volatility on Bitcoin. And the results indicate that a period of extremely low volatility in price results in a (small) rally four out of four times. Lower indicator is Bollinger band width which is a measure of volatility. https://www.tradingview.com/i/UvYxScWi/Your testing methodology includes no data when the price actually went down, so that kind of skews the results just a little....or entirely...to where you might as well flip a coin. But we all know there is no aggregate market in bitcoin and the price is controlled by a single entity operating on bitfinex and no other inputs actually matter. The price will go wherever that entity attempts to scam it towards.

Volatility index is currently at 1.4%. In 2015 and 2016 it got down to .8% before the price started moving upward. I think if we keep similar prices for another week we will see close to 0% volatility over 30 days. October 3rd we were at around $6400.

It also went from $2.50 to $6400, no surprise it went up more often than down. I like the volatility (especially if up) but it may scare a lot of people away. Some stability before the 10 year anniversary followed by a slow and steady clime would be nice too. 571 days until bitcoin supply is halved again, but that will be priced in a lot sooner.

I hope this forum remains up during the coming great depression where physical metals are preferred 5000000:1 over shitcoins so we can discuss it daily.

Forced to take a Don't Rape People quiz. This is what outrages you lot these days? Shee-it. Try turning on the news for a few minutes.
I'm pretty confident that if people stop raping other people at UTS, then you won't have to take a rape quiz anymore. Its like the millennials at my work that I have to send to "getting along with your coworkers training" and "don't fuck each other at the Xmas party training". Some people need to have it spelt out. Preferably 48 hours before the Xmas party so they can still remember it. But that's just like my opinion, man. Given that roach is still posting here, I am going to have to assume he wasn't the Pennsylvania synagogue shooter. As our society keeps moving left, it keeps redefining rape. Now, if the woman drinks a half glass of wine before sex, it's rape. If she doesn't sign a notarized form saying "I consent to having sexual intercourse with Hairy Maclairy." it's rape. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7arFLaXIdFs&feature=youtu.be&t=3200
