 I place value on having the peace of mind knowing I'm not likely to run into issues, and things will move smoothly for me.

Maybe I addressed a wrong person, and if so, I apologize, but I got a bit tired of multiple people here harping on labor.
Example: In Texas you can be fired for no cause and nobody needs to explain anything to you.
Additionally, it is legal in Texas to essentially rob temps of their wages by dismissing them earlier from their fully scheduled shift.
Thankfully, I am not a temp, but I did witness this on multiple occasions (via relative).

Of course, I am still not convinced that this market has transitioned into anything beyond further consolidation.. even if there are recent bullish tendencies in the past month or so and especially in the past couple of weeks.

But, projections of impending new lows, borders on wishful thinking to me, even while we cannot really rule out that the bottom is NOT in...

For example, if we stay above $4,200 in the coming weeks, then I might just switch over to considering this a bull market, at that time.

TLDR: The next two weeks = critical

Yes, this phase of consolidation is more likely to continue. Whilst we may be at the start of an uptrend, the likelihood of a new low has not receded that much (hazard a guess at 35% ?)

I would add one more , possibly useful, comment :

The break down from $6200 was sharp, and showed the weakness of support in the zone between 6k and 4k. This is often mirrored on the way up, therefore resistance is likely to be weak, hence the ease with which price has risen in the last couple of months. Assuming the bottom is in (balance of probability only),
there could still be a lot of work to do (and time to spend) in this area, before any decisive further advance.

Pessimistic scenario :  5-6k needed revisiting and testing before a new low.

Optimistic scenario :  5-6k will work out and consolidate over a few more months, providing the base for a 2020 uptrend.

Problem solved. US immigration controls are already extremely effective. I'd like to see you try to enter the US without your ID/Passport. And then get a job/bank account/etc without an ID or SS#.

Market consolidation continues at the $5k battlefront as neither side seems able to gain a foothold. Stronger resistance is forming near $5.12k  Support is falling from $4.7k to $4.66k as shown by the cloud. Possible downwards and sideways movement detected. #dyor

A simple fact:

in 1975 the minimal wage was $5.15
in 2019 the minimal wage is $7.25

Well, $5.15 adjusted for inflation would be $24.33 today, so $15 number is not crazy.

I had to look this up bc I remember making 4.25 in high school decades after 1975.

Looks like minimum wage was 2.10 in '75.


I believe minimum wage is morally wrong because it makes it illegal for you to sell your labor for under a certain price. This prices out some people out of the work force against their will. I see it as somewhat useful in a fiat currency system where the workers are getting constant de facto pay cuts each day as the currency is debased through money printing. These workers cant negotiate pay raises fast enough to keep up with the de facto pay cuts.

When Bitcoin is the global reserve currency and all sane workers demand to be paid in Bitcoin, de facto pay cuts will be a thing of the past and minimum wage wont be useful at all. Workers will have all the bargaining power. Begging bosses or govs for raises each year wont be necessary as workers will have de facto pay raises as the currency gains value. When Bitcoin gains value too fast for some employers to successfully stay in business, then employers will have to come hat in hand and beg the workers to take less Bitcoin so they can stay in business.

This change in the power dynamic of employee/employer wage negotiation will usher in a prosperity the world has never witnessed.

I am not supporting illegal migration.  I am simply stating that much of the US economy runs on illegal migrant labor.  This is a fact.  

A fact that needs to change. Even it crashes the local economy. America will adapt, always has, always will.

And that's their whole fucking problem, isn't it? Coddled, spoiled, privileged, sitting on their fat asses drinking their $4 lattes and eating $7 avocado toast and $9 millionaire's bacon. All the while crying about illegals taking their jobs.

But no worries, when the world economy goes to shit... they'll learn... by picking free grown bell peppers in the blazing sun out of their back yards just to eat.
