Trader (Peter Brandt) Who Predicted Bitcoin’s 84% Decline Set a $50,000 Price Target

Quote
Speaking on Yahoo Finance YFI PM Brandt, the founder of Factor Research and Trading, revealed he believes “charts reflect underlying supply and demand fundamentals and that’s how we have to look at it,” and added that he sees similarities between last year’s bear market and that of 2013-2015.

What’s happened from December of 2017 to 2018 is really an analog to what happened in the 2013 to 2015 bear market, where we saw sequential 10 up-and-down moves in the bear market and we’ve almost identically formed that same sort of pattern.

The trading veteran pointed out that he sees “the analogs are holding remarkably well,” and based on them believes the flagship cryptocurrency will go “back into a parabolic bull market.” Whether we’ll see BTC rise now and revisit 2018’s lows in the summer or not is a question he’s facing, he noted.

Good 'ol Parabolic Pete with the hopium!

Man, I am great at derivative leverage. But this.... Is what I would call a swing rejection prediction masterpiece... When is the last time we had a cup and handle? My crystal ball says weekly cup and handle forming.
The whole year of 2015.

Got a feeling that They are trying to get as many new people on board as possible. All this talk about how similar things are playing out.

Following the LTC chart to see when it follows, and how much.

you following LTC:fiat or LTC:BTC Arrie?

I find LTC:BTC very instructive

LTC:USD

LTC now up +4.26% on 24 h chart (BTC -0.37%)

But I agree LTC:BTC can be very interesting.

Getting annoying, should I just FOMO market buy already? Angry

(Bitcoin has failed to bull-break quite a lot of times in the last 4 days, not looking good short-term; however, the bulls have actively defended the support levels, so I guess they're not all that exhausted!)

There could very well be some more good buying opportunities coming up.

I am pretty happy with my current position, despite that however I am going to continue accumulating as much bitcoin as possible until we break above the 0.236 fib sometime within the next 12 months. I think reaching $7.6k+ish is a near certainty by next year and the halving so I am going long on my longs..not sure that makes sense but what ever. #buythedips

Moving a bit too fast for my liking. I think we’ll have a correction to mid 4K’s. I’m fine with that, I’m enjoying accumulating.

I want that correction! Buy order ready at $4600:

Increased the buy price, slowly FOMO'ing (literally can't help it Lips sealed):

EDIT: Seems like I'm not the only one:

I fomo bought $200 worth of bitcoins today from the $5000 price tag. After all those years, I still fall for this old trick.

I bought some from $15k too after all. $5k looked very cheap compared to that.

Added another hundred dollars and increased the buy price to $4808.

You don't know what you want. That's your problem.
I will try to help you:
-if you believe BTC will go up in the future and want to hold, buy at any price.
-if you think BTC can go down, buy and set a stop limit.
-if you are sure BTC will go down, sell what you have and buy later.

So hold is not a good solution, trade is better than hold.
You should listen to Mr Roach and try to decode his message.

Yeah, but the ratio between LTC and BTC is something to keep an eye on. Sometimes looks like a leading indicator.

It does, yep.  Gotta love English - turning nouns referring to mediaeval siege machines into verbs is totally allowed and in this case totally appropriate.

First time I saw it happen though.  I will put a Jojo™ on it when I use it Wink
