Hmm you know what good point. I didn't think about it from that angle. I concede and agree. We should start eradicating nazis right now, before they get too strong again

It's certainly gone far enough in terms of fascist, misogynistic, anti-semitic, hate rhetoric here.  Tempting though it is to eradicate this kind of scum completely, I would settle for a post ban, to take away the keyboard warriors' ability to spread their disease.

Adam would not have allowed this, why does Lauda?

Believe me when I say that I don't believe a word of what Roach is saying BUT if we start censoring posts then isn't that (almost) as bad as the BS that is being spread by Roach and his ilk?
Essentially by stifling others from saying what they wish is a form of top down control and is aligned with the same idealism that these guys are advocating.
I think the only person/group that should be censoring posts for me is me. Oh look, there is an ignore button!

Well reasoned, my friend.

It is through taking away the responsibility for information processing from the individual and giving it to the authorities, that we make the individual eventually incapable of such feats. As such they become a helpless tool in the hands of the authorities. Which is is exactly what right and left-wing authoritarians desire. Because the unwashed masses are too stupid to think for themselves, so they, the enlightened despots have to do it for them!

(not realizing that it is precisely their behavior towards the masses which provides incentive for them to remain too stupid to think for themselves)

That said, I do think this discussion would be better served in a more appropriate forum rather than a Bitcoin wall thread!

So have fun creating your useless "anarchist" team of defenseless idiots, while I form my team and destroy you and the Marxists at the same time.

You can enslave only those who value their freedom less than their lives. And slaves are not so productive (witness the ever lower growth economies of the ever more tax-enslaved), and they might even revolt at some point.

Obviously, someone or a robot is using the blockchain for a purpose.  We need to know.

You'd better ask BU blocktards.

You've made some support of logical leap here that omits several steps. How about you show your work?

Difficult to say, it might not even be during this pump. We're certain to go above $1,000 but not necessarily in the immediate future.

I hope we do though.

It's just $1,000 seems to act as some sort of psychological sell barrier where people feel the need to get out & take profits.

I think we will hit or at least come within striking distance of $1,000. I think the biggest thing right now is Segwit/Scaling-issues. As soon as this is resolved, we will see the market choose a direction. It will definitely make a shift, but we will have to see whether that is up or down.

I miss the good old days when a Chinaman would pump the price by $20 to attract momentum traders then immediately dump it $100.

Frankly I would prefer the scaling debate to come to an end more than I would want us to go on a moon shot. The worrying thing is Segwit is stalling for adoption. The current 25% mining power going to Segwit is nowhere near enough, and I have strong doubts any scaling solution will gain that much marketshare. With Bitcoin major mining pools making up more than 5% of the network [per pool] just one owner of a pool is all it takes for the change not to go through. That is insane for something as "decentralized" as Bitcoin [I know the centralization of Bitcoin has long been acknowledged].

Almost makes one wonder why the oh-so-prescient core devs/blockstream employees/AXA proxies choose a 95% activation rate.

Why is it though? I mean it is the change they wish to implement so why roadblock it?

About patriarchal vs matriarchal societies, I think it's clear we're transitioning from a male dominated society to a more male/female balanced society. In nature there are successful examples of all types of these hierarchical organizations. Female dominated species aren't less violent in general by the way, but we do see that in the more balanced animal species there tends to be less aggression, more cooperation and the differences between males and females are also smaller. So I'm sorry if you are a testosterone driven male human who feels like only men are uniquely qualified to run our society, but your days are numbered. Tongue

As a guy who has lived overseas for the past 5 years or so, I will definitely never go back to American women. They're just not as feminine as the ladies I have interacted with in Europe and Asia. They aren't trying to be men and men aren't trying to be women. The differences are a good thing.

I think that it is an attempt to achieve unambiguous and near unanimous consensus...

I am sure that a lesser level could be reconsidered if it seems to be a practical and the 95% is not working.

Good AM Bitcoinland. Happy new month.

I see we're holding on to yesterday's gains... $977USD (Bitcoinaverage) and keeping 2017 in the green.

A little consolidation following yesterday's little rally is a good thing. Taking a breather between legs up will probably lead to a better sustained rally past $1000 and on to the awaited ATH.
