This is much more major than anyone seems to be acknowledging so far ... BIG money has most definitely arrived, let's see if they can behave themselves and not go bankrupt and look for taxpayers bailouts like they do with everything else.

I'm sure I'll be castigated soundly here ... ... consider yourself castigated. Roger has done pretty scummy things and employed low-life methods to achieve his ends (however stupidly well-meaning yet misguided). I wouldn't even buy firecrackers off him (or explosives).

Our Satoshi, who art in blockchain, Encrypted be thy name Thy transactions come Thy will be done on ASICS As it is on Github. Give us this day our daily mining reward, And forgive our zero-conf double-spends As we forgive them that double-spend against us. And lead us not into alt-chains But deliver us from Ripple For thine is the mining rig, The hashing power, and the block reward, For ever and ever Amen. Miners Prayer? I like that. this is my first time view Wall Observer and it has many speculations. Its good that Bitcoin is stable now at $2500.

Is it just a coincidence that Bitcoin started rising when that was announced? It's up by $100 in the last 24 hours. Maybe the rise is just noise, or maybe that news is already affecting the market.

BULLISH: Polish Authorities Issue Sweeping Condemnation of Bitcoin and Other Digital Currencieshttps://news.bitcoin.com/polish-authorities-issue-sweeping-condemnation-of-bitcoin-and-other-digital-currencies/Polish authorities, regulators, and banks issued a sweeping statement warning of the risk of bitcoin, ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies. They said these currencies are not national or legal tender and cannot be used to pay taxes. They do not fall within the guidelines provided by Polish Financial Supervision Authority. Businesses, especially, should be wary about adopting or trying to use “virtual currencies.”
(...) This warning comes as more Polish restaurants and eateries have begun to accept bitcoin as a method of payment. Poland’s largest food delivery service, with 5000+ restaurants, recently started accepting the digital currency. It will be interesting to see how the general public and investors react to recent condemnations of bitcoin and other digital currencies.

It will be interesting to see the graph and compare before-after. P.S.: Here it is: https://coin.dance/volume/localbitcoins/PLNLet's see how it evolves. It would seem as if they reacted to the clear volume increment in Bitcoin there.

oh vey! really? no taxes? I recently asked the IRS if I could pay taxes in Bitcoin. They said unfortunately no, taxes need to be paid in US currency as that is the reason for US currency to exist.

You really did that? Anyway, it is somewhat an obvious and irrelevant thing. I can't pay my taxes in Bitcoin... neither in USD or any other assets except EUR. But... if you ever due payment, they will take/confiscate ANY asset, liquidate it and use it to pay the debt. Be it USD, stocks, cars, real state... or Bitcoin.
