Being left behind is always a risk. Price seems steady for now and positive news is coming in. It looks like we may be headed upward soon but the market is still jittery so beware.

Saw the recent drop, locked, cocked, and was ready to shoot at the dip, but before I could hit the Buy button it stated rising again...

Oh well, if it's good for Bitcoin, it's good for me! Will keep the gun loaded for a future dip. We still have the darn SegWit2x to deal with...

I don't see this as a major push yet, at least until the Chinese fud settles.

YEAH!!!   Our current BTC price range is still $3,400 to $4,300.. so yeah, even though I am getting a little excited about the BIG jump of this latest $100 plus jump - touching on $4,100, I think we gotta be careful about getting overly anxious until we either break out of the price range or get really close to breaking out of the range.

Of course, there are other theories out there, too (more bearish, that's right), and I think that some of the bear predictor FUD spreading folks did not really expect us to go anywhere meaningfully above $3,700.. .so we are doing pretty good from that less bullish perspective, no?

just sell your farm and buy bitcoin already! :-D weeee $5000 close now bud^

hahahahaha

I am too chicken shit for that.    For the large majority of the part, I do not buy BTC when the price is going up and I do not sell when the price is going down... in other words, I am already in..  and i am ready for $5k, but if we shoot all the way up to $10k, I am going to get anxious and be hoping for a correction to refuel..

myself, as to this particular year, being too good, (4.15 ltc to 50 buck ltc) IF I were to sell my mining farm....and equip I've deducted..I'd have to pay the taxman 50% of whatever
I got for it...better to just run them into the dirt/doorstops....that is the main reason you don't see a lot of miners sell and buy bitcoin

(once you are on the treadmill, its hard to get off) Sad

On the other hand, in 2015 I lost my ass on ltc coin price etc, the hedge was scrypt pow miners, I used the following year, thus scored both years...with equip hedge with this
as a business....goes around comes around..my year to pay taxman or I need to find a lot less dubious equipment before the end of the year than bitmain is offering

anyway, why I run equip down till space heater status...

I'd rather buy too early than risk being left behind. With bitcoin, its always worked out well this way.

Oh no, not Mike Novogratz! Gotta be honest, the last time I saw that guy come out to be interviewed in the MSM, it was early to mid Nov 2013. And in that video he said, no lie, that he "sees Bitcoin at $2000+ by next year. Right around the corner!" And we all know what happened shortly thereafter. Embarrassed

That guy is like a harbinger of doom, lol. I'm only half joking of course, I know Mike's a Bitcoin perma bull and his heart is in the right place. And of course he's saying all the right things.

Just no more bullish predictions, ok Mikey?  Wink

Also, Erik Schatzker the interviewer still has on his skeptacles. One of those cocky asshats who doesn't take Bitcoin seriously, belittling and condescending the space. He has no idea what is coming. The decentralized revolution that is coming.

Exactly.

There are many people who missed the chance to buy in 2016 and now still "waiting" for $200 price again, as they were told by fools the day they missed the low price. Roll Eyes

Honestly, its never too late to join bitcoin. Buy now or cry later, this always continue with bitcoin.

Honestly, its never too late to join bitcoin.

I find the whole idea of people saying that it's "too late" to join Bitcoin a ridiculous notion. To me it's like saying it's "too late to get internet", "too late to join Facebook", or "too late to get a smart phone." "Damn, I missed out on that whole Internet revolution thing!"

A nonsensical phrase. At no point in time now or in the future will anyone be "missing out" on getting some Bitcoin.

If they mean that it's too late to make a ton of money with Bitcoin, then they need to re-evaluate their notion of what money is. Should I say, "Well it's too late to buy Gold because I can't get it for $0.10/oz. valuation like my ancestors were able to."  ? Roll Eyes Whatever the current valuation is, someone is always buying and selling. Hopefully someday in the future with Bitcoin, there will only be buying (because we will swap it directly for goods/services and won't have to go back to fiat).

I don't get that either. I think it would help if we would start talking about satoshi / fiat exchange rates. If these people see 1 BTC = 4000 USD, they think it's to late to buy. But most likely some of these people would buy if they see a exchange rate of 1 Sat = 0.00004 USD.

On the other hand eurodol is up, BTCEUR is up, my company's stock is at a "very long time high" and I have a ton of that, so overall not a bad day.

Btw, whenever you see a interview of a Bitcoin enthusiast where the interviewer is completely skeptical of Bitcoin and crypocurrencies in general, and trying to make the interviewee feel ridiculous about their passion and enthusiasm.

There's this as a reminder for you:

I'll admit. I got greedy. I lost over 1300 Bitcoins in that fiasco. In principal - several times that if we include my (so-called) gains.

... well that explains a lot, your grasp of economics is as shit as I suspected ... you got lucky, not greedy chump.
