Bitcoin is more deadly than guns for the 1% and if we succeed, it will be because enough see it the same way.

Look at you grasping to make a bitcoin connection.... :

Nevertheless, Icygreen is right on this one.

So it is not that hard to assume that you get 50 deadly shots. 500? Noone said there were 500 injured by bullets. You get people coming to the hospitals with anxiety attacks, injured in the stampede of people, stepped by other people, etc etc...

Yes I agree that an attacker(s) could have shot and killed 59 people in that timeframe. But the MSM is clearly implying that 527 other people were injured by the attackers bullets as well. They are not clarifying that statement at all. In fact, they are implying that so many people are in the hospital from gunshot wound injuries, that they need blood donors by the truckload.

https://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/las-vegas-shooting/las-vegas-shooting-blood-donation-lines-strech-blocks-n806876

Anyway: I'm done with this topic. Back to Bitcoin discussion.

(I think owning full auto is illegal in USA)
Popular misconception. There is no federal prohibition upon private citizens owning full auto weapons.

True, but the scrutiny to legally purchase those weapons is not worth the hassle to me.

To my understanding, if you have a license to purchase that type of weaponry, the ATF basically has carte-blanche access to "raid" you whenever they want for whatever reason - under the auspices of a "compliance check" or some other regulatory reasons.

True dat.

Quote
If I ever want to have fun shooting serious guns, I'll go out to Vegas and hook up with a bunch of ex-military/soldier-of-fortune types, while plinking at 12" steel plates out of a BMG .50 in the desert at 250 yards.

Out this way, we used to have an annual machine gun shoot. You could go and for a fee, fire pretty much anything you might dream of. M4s, AKs, BARs, MP5s, MAC10s, UZIs, M1 .30 carbines, M14 7.62x54 select fire, M62s (there's your .50), M2s (more fun - your .50 in full auto form), pintle-mounted quad ak-ak guns, the list goes on & on. One year, even a fully restored Sherman Tank with 76mm howitzer (too pricey for me back then). Shooting over a square mile of nothing with targets scattered about. At nightfall, the 'mad minute' of tracer fire, with replenished active targets which included full propane cylinders and quarter-sticks of dynamite. Good times indeed.

Sadly, discontinued about three or four years back.

Actually pretty much every financial instrument on this planet moves in bullet time mode compare to Bitcoin (or most crypto).
Since there is so much volatility in BTC already, using leveraged position in bucket shop like eToro or BitMex is a really bad idea.  People are more likely to get whipsawed and cleaned out of their position.  The real downside is that it prevents you from becoming a true hodler, which is what makes real money in the long run.

I really do not understand why the "core team" has a 2X problem.
Without 2X is not Segwit. Bitcoin has exponential support, so 2X is a good compromise.

... ok I understand that they want to create a "market fee" and "birth of side chains" as soon as possible.

The war between Bitcoin and Segwit2x will damage both sides and finally 2X is necessary (only the of time question)

My BCs are sacred, no etoro for them. They only stay briefly in Gemini or sometimes Coinbase Smiley
Also I almost never leverage as it scares the sh**t out of me, seems more like gambling!

I am wondering if we will ever pass the matrix and start predicting the slow stock markets after dope bitcoin training XD

Something I find most amusing is the process whereby a given hypothesis goes from being patently absurd to irrelevant truth overnight.

One day the theory is so ludicrous that anyone espousing it is clearly insane, then the revelation comes out and suddenly the truth of what yesterday was proof of lunacy is suddenly old news, or just no big deal.

I have had many opportunities to be amused by this.

Like 9/11 and every mass shooting in the US since Colombine?  Deep state observer!  Are we in the final throes of capitalism and democracy yet?

For anyone awake, or wants to be: What are the Odds It's Another False Flag Attack?

Good morning Bitcoinland.

Down a couple of benjamins I see, but over a third of the way back... currently $4300USD/$5378CAD (Bitcoinaverage).

Most alts also down... AltCash currently at $399USD/$499CAD (Coinmarketcap).

I don't see any immediate reason for this strange dip but it's not that deep, certainly not worth buying. We're basically back to where we were the day before yesterday. Strange stuff.

Yup, really strange stuff happening with Ethereum, Monero, ETC too. Constantly going down but bitcoin is sustaining pretty good.

But hey, its time to buy some ETC/ETH/XMR, they can't go more down!

Altcoins are going down because of the sell pressure of the big investors, they want to accumulate BTC, so they can get a free airdrop from BTCgold....  Roll Eyes

LOL, so there's something called BTC Gold coming up now? You've gotta be kidding me, I didn't know about that all.

I didn't even completely extract my bitcoin cash off from my bitcoin wallets... Now I'll be getting BTC Gold too? I literally am not interested in such pathetic trash! Cry

Back to topic:  We dump all the alts for BTC, (if/when it's "safe.")  That'll teach 'em.

Yup. It's about the development team. 2x has corporate banking and is essentially a coup, corporate cartel takeover attempt. That would mean more centralised development so less secure. Probably more cartel mining too.

You are full of shit.

You assume the conclusion to your logical puzzle. Don't know why core is against, 2x, 2x is necessary.. blah blah blah...

No 2x is not necessary.  There is absolutely no reason for 2x, except the fact that various folks (including you) are making up facts and conclusions in order to assert that 2x is necessary, when it is clearly not.

2x is only being propositioned as being necessary in order to make attacks upon THE REAL bitcoin.

You know that, but you are just coming into this thread and making nonsensical points and assuming the conclusion that you want to reach (and you hope others will reach your nonsense too..... like they do in r/btc... and.. makes NO sense.

Weird shit like what?  What do you got?  You are just making up shit, and engaging in personal attacks without any kind of reason, except to drop names that you want to attack and without any basis..  Why don't you and Odalv go back to r/btc with your non-substantive personal attacks.. and spout your meritless anti-core nonsense.  go back and push your Bcash and your segwit2x and your other baloney attack coins..

I don't get why bitcoin holders do not realize that every alt coming out from bitcoin eventually is our best way to get more free bitcoins! Pathetic trash you called it. I agree! But do you know what it's been used in farming as a fertilizer?
Shit! I mean real shit! Now they call it compost.

So let them create their alts so that we can dump them for BTC. Easy

I see these forks as some kind of inflation. some bitcoin value moved to bcash, without bcash bitcoin price would be higher. they also lead to a lot of confusion for new bitcoin users. these forks are bad imo.

Yes it's free money for each bitcoin holder. And as this is open source hardforks by people who think things should go a different direction are inevitable.
Nothing wrong about that. If you're smart you will know how to make money or more bitcoin out of it.
And the more forks we will see in the future the less and less importance or kind of threat they will be for the legacy chain. Bitcoin gets more and more resistent. This is good. We need this "tests" and attacks now to see if Bitcoin is indeed as strong as it was designed.
